A Most Inspiring Story: Arnel Pineda becomes Lead Singer for Journey

crabacado Mon, 01/04/2016 - 22:51

Fantastic late night watching!

Stumbled across this on Netflix.

Titled: Don't Stop Believing, Everyman's Journey, this is the story of a homeless man in the Philippines, who was discovered on Youtube by a member of Journey who desperately needed a new lead singer after Steve Perry left the band.

They brought him half way around the world to audition and the rest is history.

I freaking love real life stories like this. It's inspiring!

Hi

It's the start of the new year and I wanted to give you an advance look at my first music video since completing The Conspiracy Project.

I wrote, "A Zero with a Gun," several years ago for the Now It's Personal CD. It was always one of my favorites but I never had a video to go with it.

I figured teen violence was an important issue to tackle since there is so much confusion and misinformation on the subject.

Skip ahead a few minutes to the main conversation.  I'd be interested to hear what everyone thinks of this film in light of the actual political and social strife happening in the country today.  This guy makes some strong arguments that explains why the film and characters were arguably gutted of personality and story and why a social narrative might have been the main purpose of the film.
