A masked man burst into a 7-Eleven near Seattle early Sunday morning, swinging a hatchet and slicing the store clerk.

Before the masked man could seriously hurt anyone, though, a customer who was drinking his morning coffee pulled out a concealed weapon and fatally shot the attacker.

Authorities did not name the attacker or the customer, but they did hail the concealed weapon owner as a hero.

I stumbled on the Robert King Bullock story on Saturday. The story in the Christian Times said he was a black man who supported Trump and was shot and killed during the fighting outside the cancelled Chicago rally. I was shocked at the news, but before passing it around, I wanted confirmation. I could find no other story anywhere on the internet, whether in the mainstream news or the alternative news.

I have tried for years to explain to my friends and family who I am, who we are, without jingoism or detailed pedantry. Boiling down the idea of being a free person in a world rife with corruption leads to confusing conversations. What do you mean you won't file for unemployment? What do you mean you won't try to get an SBA loan? How come you don't want a government contract? Why do you oppose public education?
