Answer: Fox’s debate. But it was the second lowest rated debate of the season. So Trump is certain to take credit for hurting the channel’s total viewership.

The first hour of Fox’s Trump-less debate had an 8.4 household rating, according to early Nielsen data on so-called metered markets

 

By comparison, two of the cable channels that showed parts of Trump’s event, CNN and MSNBC, had about a quarter of Fox’s audience combined.

The most recent GOP debate, televised two weeks ago on the Fox Business Network, had a household rating of 7.4.

 

Twitter said 36% of #GOPDebate candidate mentions were about Trump, way ahead of Ted Cruz’s 16% and Marco Rubio’s 13%.

On the other hand, according to Google, “debate live stream” beat out searches for “Trump live stream” by 170% on Thursday night.

When Sen Paul stepped out FOX lost 1/5 ratings/revenue, and down to 11 million total viewers!

Trump steps out and Paul returns, gives FOX 13 million viewers!

Takeaway... no doubt that Paul did the damage and gained fantastically! NO DOUBT that Trump went nearly unnoticed, and FOX gained viewers net more with Paul than with Trump!

No evidence that Trump gained the millions or even close, to Rand's success when leaving the debate! This can in part be attributed to Paul's reasoning...

Paul appealed to get into the debate!... Trump petulantly ran away from the debate!

Truth always brings out the facts clearly. Paul is a real attraction when actually focused on issues! Trump only pulled away a few soap'ster Trumpites, who follow the buffoonery rather than the issues of liberty!

More people watched this one (without trump, but included Rand), than the one 2 weeks ago (without Rand) that included his majesty. What does that tell you? The Rand supporters boycotting the event made a difference? Can't wait til the actual voting begins.
