RUN RON RUN...for the Libertarian Party!!!

pawnstorm12 Sat, 02/06/2016 - 00:24

It's not too late for Ron to add his name to the Libertarian Party ticket.

Their convention is in May I believe, so there's plenty of time.

Believe me, liberty-minded people like us would FLOCK to the Libertarian Party if Ron were their nominee and...he would be on virtually every state ballot this November.

I also believe the money would flow by the millions for his campaign if he ran.

No Paul to Call anymore...sad.

I'm pissed at Rand for babying out after BEATING BUSH AND CHRISTIE in Iowa.

Was he that broke?

I gave him money multiple time as I'm sure did a lot of others here..

He should have stayed in there - gone to the debates - and spread the liberty message as long as he could have like his dad did.

Trump will participate in the Saturday's debate (because Rand Paul is not) -

I had recently posted an opinion piece that the main reason Trump excluded himself from the January 28th Republican debate was due to Rand Paul making the 'cut'. I still believe this is true. His reason for missing the debate was petty and an act you might come to expect from a toddler-in-spontaneous-fit. Here is the link to that thread - http://www.acalltopaul.com/node/974 -

Courted by Cruz, New Hampshire’s libertarians ask if they need politics at all

Anne Fri, 02/05/2016 - 12:14

"Still, several legislators who’d backed Paul told The Post that they resented the idea that they could flip so easily. Aaron Day, chairman of the Republican Liberty Caucus of New Hampshire, said he’d spent much of Wednesday running interference"

Goldman Donations Shift to Marco Rubio as Jeb Bush Fades

Jeb Bush had been the top recipient of donations from the Wall Street investment bank. Donations to Bush shrank to a trickle as his campaign faded.

The most recent filing covers contributions and expenses between October and December. Marco Rubio’s campaign received $107,000 from Goldman Sachs executives. This number likely does not include donations to various Super PACs tied to Rubio’s candidacy.

The biggest elephant in the room is not the GOP's!

JSBach Thu, 02/04/2016 - 22:38

The biggest un-constitutional elephant in the room, the kings very new un-clothes, the last things even the liberty sites seem to care about, and certainly the last thing the GOP couch potatoes have come to care about in their now more apparent open agreement that what Ron Paul heard in committee must be true, that the constitution is an anachronism, old fashioned, we don't do it that way anymore... that biggest of all elephants has become... what???

CNN: Ted Cruz tries to seize Rand Paul's libertarian mantle

TruthSeeker1982 Thu, 02/04/2016 - 15:13

From the article:

"Winning libertarian voters has been a centerpiece of the New Hampshire strategy for Cruz, who has flirted with the GOP's libertarian views on foreign policy. Cruz has argued that he is the natural inheritor of the modern libertarian movement built by Ron Paul, which was especially resonant here in New Hampshire, where the elder Paul won second place four years ago."

Why Rand Paul's Future Prospects Are Bright

DjPe5h Thu, 02/04/2016 - 15:06

Rand Paul’s decision to drop out of the Republican presidential race Wednesday marks the end of a primary season that he can’t help but regard as a disappointment. On paper, Ron Paul's heir seemed poised to capitalize on the growing number of voters whose mistrust of big government extends to the GOP establishment, its neoconservative foreign policy, and its support for mass surveillance.

After Rand's Gracious Bowing Out of The Presidential Race, Who Do You Support Now?

zooamerica Wed, 02/03/2016 - 21:15

Rand Paul had a certain kind of grace and eloquence about him during his first presidential run.

It won't be his last.  4 years is not a long time as we all know by now.  2012 feels like a year ago in the current state of warp speed we're all traveling in through space and time.

In a way, Rand stood above the fray.  He decided it would be best to be a Senator in Kentucky instead of jumping in the pool of political sewage and participating in the current crap throwing contest that is about to ensue.

HIT & RUN BLOG: Two Cheers (& More!) for Rand Paul!

Anne Wed, 02/03/2016 - 21:05

His presidential campaign is over, but his political achievements are just beginning.

With Rand Paul's suspension of his campaign for the Republican presidential nomination comes an understandable deluge of autopsies, elegies, screw-yous, and snarky subtweets.

Yet I come not to bury the "libertarian-ish" Paul but to praise him. In five short years as a senator, he's already elevated a host of issues that almost would have never seen the light of day. Assuming he keeps his Senate seat in the fall (as safe a bet as can be made in politics, which entails serious risk), he's still at the start of a career that, along with other newish colleagues, may well transform not just the GOP but the country as a whole. Here's hoping.

Positive reporting on RP efforts. Interesting.

GOP Race Loses Rand Paul's Tech, Privacy Cred

Losing his libertarian stance on tech issues could damage GOP appeal with young voters.

"The Republican presidential campaign lost its biggest privacy advocate on Wednesday when Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky dropped out of the race, leaving doubt about whether the remaining candidates can resonate with the tech community or voters concerned about government surveillance."

On Rand's suspension of his campaign

enemyofthestate1776 Wed, 02/03/2016 - 16:12

Hi everyone,

Well, I'm pretty shattered about Rand's announcement, as I'm sure we all are. I had hoped to see much more support for him going into Iowa, and am disappointed that this has not turned out to be the case.

I have a few thoughts about what led us all to this point, but first want to say that I am emphatically not a Trump supporter, nor in any possible past or future am I a Cruz supporter (even putting those two words together seems oxymoronic in some way), rather I am with Rand to the end, as I have extensively researched the issues and believe that, per his votes and his understanding of the issues and principles of liberty, he is far and away the best Liberty advocate we have in the race.

Meet your unauthorized federal Government

The Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Drug Enforcement Agency, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives have not been reauthorized by Congress since 2009. The State Department hasn’t been reauthorized since 2003. For the Federal Trade Commission and National Weather Service, it’s 1998 and 1993, respectively. The Federal Election Commission has been operating with an expired authorization since way back in 1981.
