Is a Call To Paul part of the Liberty movement? Why didn't we get the memo?

I've considered myself a toddler in the Liberty movement. I don't claim to know it all. It was just a bumper sticker driving the roads of Los Angeles that caught my attention. All I remember was seeing the name Ron Paul. From there, fakebook was my source of information and from there to reading articles on the Daily Paul. Then, I got lucky and was allowed to join Popular Liberty. And here I am.

Forgive me if I don't know all the facts but I have a questions. Am I right to believe that the Ron Paul Revolution was so successful because Daily Paul was the IT for Ron Paul? When Daily Paul was mentioned in the news and Reince Priebus claimed to read it each day I knew where to go to get the truth. Why hasn't A call To Paul received this letter from Ted Cruz? Anyone that followed the Daily Paul knew it morphed into Popular Liberty. And anyone that followed Popular Liberty knows A Call To Paul is alive and kicking.

So, here I am asking. Have any of you been asked or been a part of the Liberty Movement debate as stated in the so called letter? "members of the Liberty Movement debated on who they would support next. Some supporters went to Donald Trump and others to Bernie Sanders." Have any of you received this letter? http://libertybuzz.us/story/open-letter-from-ted-cruz-to-the-liberty-mov... Of those of us who support Ron Paul and Rand Paul. Which one of us would even remotely consider the idea of supporting Bernie Sanders? I need some oxygen or I'm going to faint. What a bunch of xyz.....Am I dreaming? Is this a nightmare and I'm going to wake up?  Is this not one of the worst pieces of advertising propaganda so far?

Do not insult our intelligence. That's what I have to answer. Anyone whoever worked to spread Ron and Rand's message would be insulted by these statements. So, here is the answer to Ted Cruz and his handlers. NO. And let me repeat it again. Hell, No. We can't support endless wars. No, we don't support someone who doesn't vote to END the fed. No, we do not need to defend the terrorist that run Israel's gov. No, we don't believe the lies of Is, issis, Isl, daesh, etc., etc., daily name change terrorist invented paid for by the USA private mercenary contractors. No, we don't believe in free everything like Sanders does. No, we don't believe in walls that keep people in. No, we don't believe that all our communications must be snooped. No, we don't believe that our banking transactions must be scooped by the gov. No, we don't believe in physical molestation as a price to air travel. No, hell, no No, the answer is Hell No. Open Letter from the Liberty Movement to Ted Cruz: NO, HELL NO. “Nyet, spaseeba” “nyet, ni nada” "ni-KAK nyet"

Quote by a true Ron Paul R3volution supporter: "john lips ted cruz is a wall street funded, council on foreign relations controlled, establishment piece of dogshit! take that letter and shove it." I didn't say that. In that manner.

Your words are so romantic. Yes, it really doesn't matter. We owe it to MN to keep going. We owe it to the country that gave us so much. We owe it to the people that come behind us.

Let's keep on keeping on for Liberty. Nothing else matters.

Love your style.
Thank You newcomer.

Just noticed your compliment and I humbly say thank you to you and all the others who came to this place, PL and the DP long before I did. It is my great hope that we can get to the readership levels that DP had when it was really cranking.

But, I hope that can happen not just as result of the promotion of the next Liberty presidential candidate, or any one man or woman, but rather due to the very important concept of Liberty itself and what we have already lost.

So that we can awake others to the stripping of our liberties due to the ongoing and ramping up of the surveillance and police state, the great cost of our unconstitutional and failed foreign policy and the reliance and promotion of the Welfare State and Big Government as a means to all ends.

And yes, I plan to invite others with my gentle, yet constant, nudging.

In Liberty to you Izzy and all the other freedom lovers wherever you are.

That's why this is so important. It all started because of Ron Paul. But we can't just focus on candidates alone. It is a philosophy of life. It's about education.

As citizens we have an obligation to this country and to the world. That foreign nightmare called policy is no bueno darling.

I'm not sure why you're upset with us? I would love to work together and expand the Liberty Movement!

Did you ever watch Alias? You can find it in Hulu. Doubles. Drones do what the programmer or operator orders it to do. And orders come from high above his or her pay grade.

Liberty lovers do not vote for the least of the corrupt. Not upset. Pointing the way back to the Constitution, We the People and our natural rights that do not come from the gov. but from the Creator.

If you care to honor those that died to make USA what it has been to some degree in the past. If you honor your status as a USA citizen and the work of our forefathers laid out for us. If you honor innocent lives being destroyed through economic and weapons wars then you must support the R3volution. Ron Paul's that is.

The golden rule is omnipotent. It is the ultimate R3volution. We the people do not want blood on our hands.

Well, it seems as if you're implying that we are not familiar with the original movemen, Ron Paul 2008. However, that's completely incorrect, I've been involved with the r3VOLution since 07. I'm well aware of everything that has happened.

I still don't understand why you feel the way you do?

TrumpetRoyale's picture

That you never understood the liberty movement to begin with.  Every single person running for POTUS is a staged event.  You would know better than to support ted cruz if you really were apart of the liberty movement.  You would have seen Ron Pauls recent advice to Stay Away From Cruz if you really were apart of the liberty movement.  You would know that cruz meets with Henry Kissinger [war criminal] and posts such events on his website,  he is proud to stand alongside such people as kissinger.. If this isn't a tell tale sign, what is?  Trump was installed to do what he does and the "establishment"media and their counterparts are told to come against him to make you think that the liberty movement is making progress.  Same applies for the others. The deck has been stacked. Are you blind to this?  Or are you really not apart of the liberty movement?  You see, those who are really apart of the liberty movement do their own research,  They do not rely on comments such as mine for their truth,  They know that the political machine is ever changing, ebbing and flowing, depending on what they know the public wants to hear, and their politicians will say what they are told to say in attempts to convince the public that they are telling the truth.  This is a very old trick.  Society used to call it, lying.  And that is what I see you pushing, the lie,,, Ted Cruz, Trump, Bernie..all have some great truths mixed in with the lie.  That is how it is always done.  Great lies are mixed with great truths. That is how they are accomplished. A real liberty lover would be able to explain the constitutionality of the arguments their chosen candidates are making.  I offer you the opportunity to explain why you support the candidate you do and how they will uphold the constitution and bill of rights?

And please do not try to sell me that your candidate wants MORE wars and debt to keep the people safer.  Explain how your candidate will protect the constitution, audit the federal reserve [the honest thing to do] and bring the troops home.  Correlate this with your candidates voting record.  This is the proof of what they really believe.

TrumpetRoyale's picture

I have been involved in the real liberty movement for almost a decade, beginning in 2007 Ron Paul campaign and I can tell you for a fact that the political machine has been working overtime to supplant and corrupt the movement almost the entire time.

These are but some of the culprits in the attempted overthrow of the liberty movement. There are many players but I will focus attention to those who seem to speak to liberty and those who pander to the liberty community:

  • Ted Cruz
  • Henry Kissinger
  • Jeb Bush Alex Jones (yes him too)
  • Donald Trump
  • Bernie Sanders
  • Glen Beck

To mention but a few. The liberty community has been infiltrated. I will speak more on this later. The two political powers have almost unlimited capital and media counterparts for maximum effectiveness. They know that Ron Paul is the real deal and what he taught and informed the people about is their nemesis. Trump, Cruz, etc, etc are all pawns in this little game of divide and conquer. Trump made fun of Ron Paul all through his campaigns., now trump says he admires Ron Paul but now makes fun of Rand Paul. Ted Cruz says he is the rightful heir to the Ron Paul supporters-lol. This is all done to divide the liberty movement into factions so that it is inneffective. State levels are also corrupt but their is more hope for constitutional victories there. Always remember and do your own investigation, when you hear trump, Cruz or the lot of them talk about liberty and the constitution, it is because they are a part of the larger political machine (knowingly or unknowingly) that works in tandem and on varying levels in operations to redirect the energy of the real liberty movement (ie those who want constitutional government, not anarchy) toward neocon ideology. Lies. Debt. War.

The machine knows that they have a problem on their hands when people demand returning to constitutional principles. They must mislead as many as possible into thinking that they may see change through this candidate or that candidate. That is why you hear so much "real talk" coming from the candidates snd you hear constitutional rhetoric.. Because they know that is what the public wants to hear and that is how they rope them in. The end result is not constitutional reforms though., it is more of the same under a different name. Make no mistake, there is not one constitutional candidate in this race. It's a a classicly staged, sophisticated ( but comprehensible) set up. No matter who you choose, you will get the same agenda to varying degrees. Ron Paul was honest and a righteous beacon of truth in a very corrupt system. All you have to do is educate yourself (go back and watch Ron Paul's videos and follow the rabbit trails with discernment) and compare what he says to what the candidates say, and compare Ron Paul's constitutional solutions to the phony solutions proposed by the corrupt politicians & you will see who is genuine, and who is telling the truth. All great lies are mixed with truth. They is how they get undiscernibg people to follow. Trump and Cruz have been installed as the renegades of the GOP, but nothing could be further from the truth. Trump, Cruz, Hillary and Bernie (and yes the rest of them) are on the exact same team but they would never admit it obviously. Their handlers are cut from the same cloth, same ideas, same aids that come from the same think tanks. Ron and Rand Paul's ideas are a threat to the system and as was stated earlier, the system has enormous amounts of capital and media publicity to create their desired storylines and influence public opinion. So if the thing is a set up then how can we get truth or know who to trust? Ron Paul was right on this as well when he said:

Educate yourself about natural law and where rights come from Be involved in your state and local government which is still likely corrupt but easier to combat and more effective Understand the constitution and bill of rights (it's not difficult to do and once learned it is ideological ammo to help you discern who is lying to you and who is not) learning thus will also help you with understanding the issues Look at voting records and hold people accountable for their campaign "promises". Don't excuse them when they conveniently do the opposite of what they've public ally said they would do. Liars who become politicians are still liars, just with power. Don't fall for the tricks. Don't let your life and work hinge on presidential elections. Real change always comes from the grassroots upwards. We will write more on this later. I hope this helps you in your quest for real constitutional reform in our lifetime. And remember " don't steal, the government hates competition".

It was just people. A group of ppl who all agreed on 1 thing; Ron Paul for president . And do whatever it takes to get him in office as president so everyone got creative and came up with ideas. Now we can't agree on a person and we are trying to copy old ideas instead of coming up with out own original ideas. Ron Paul and the 2008-2012 DP/Pl crowd were originals and were enthusiastic and motivated and creative. That energy can't be replicated. We need to find our own path.

Well before DP even closed a lot of the originals and ppl with big ideas had left the site and movement and few ppl stepped up in their place mostly ppl just complained of hers weren't still doing all the hard work.

Kelldor's picture

All valid points, and for the record, I'm not in disagreement. However, the net effect is that we are scattered three sheets to the wind not coalescing behind a single candidate. Maybe this can turn into a good thing eventually as the ideas of that original Ron Paul Revolution now permeate their way through all of the various parties and circles. Take Democratic Congresswoman from Hawaii, Tulsi Gabbard, for example. When you listen to her foreign policy it sounds like it's influenced by Ron Paul's F.P. of Non-Interventionism. She just stepped down recently from the DNC to support Bernie in fact. In the event Bernie is elected, she would most likely be a positive influence being a combat veteran who is reluctant to send troops into combat. One day Trump talks like "I would invade Iran, take over their country, and sell off their oil.", and the next he's all like "We don't need to be the policemen of the world. Let Russia deal with it. They are there now. I think Putin would like me. I'm a nice guy. What can I say? People like me.", (regarding ISIS in Syria, plus a little humor.) Ted sometimes says the same thing on interventionism, but he's not believable. He co-sponsors Audit the Fed, but doesn't bother to show up for the vote. That Revolution did have some positive impact that is still being felt here and there today. I think different parts of that message will be felt in different areas for a long time to come.

I hope things are going well for you these days and that you are happy. I've certainly had better of late, so believe me I'm no paragon of joy and happiness, lol! I'm working on it though :)

You just made my day. Tulsi. OMG I love a woman with such stamina. Some tough cookie. For a second I was breathless. I'm glad I kept reading your post.

So, let me get this straight. Changes within the machine are influenced by Ron and Rand's work. So, it's like drizzling Sriracha sauce on the machine. Better yet. The Liberty movement is an Idea Factory.

Shoot! I just got IN spired.

You just made me HAPPY.

M.N. shut it all down because:

  1. He hated Rand,
  2. It was starting to turn into the Daily Rand, which was against his wishes,
  3. It was also turning into the Daily Trump,
  4. Which turned it into the Daily Rand vs. Trump bicker fest,
  5. and last but not least...Two bucks says M.N. is "Felling the Bern."

I do not know this, just a vague suspicion. I could be wrong, and have been many time before, but I wonder because he originally came to the liberty movement from the left, and previously supported left leaning candidates in 2000 and 2004 I believe. When someone is doing something and their views change, they then re-evaluate what they are doing, and either change course and do something else instead, or it eats them up inside and gets the better of them because they no longer believe in what it is they are doing. That causes a lot of stress, and it affects your interaction with others as well. Hence removing Ron Paul's image and putting up the new "Peace, Au (Gold), Love" logo to decouple the site from the Paul brand, then shutting down the DP and changing the name to PL while omitting the original mission statement at the top that said "Dedicated to Restoring Constitutional Government to the United States of America", and finally sinking the Ark and closing down the PL.

Towards the end, he was chiding all of the rest of us in a general sense. Talking down to the sites members, and scolding the entire community like a parent scolding their children. Some of his final writings there had been a large degree of vitriol, and then Kathleen Gee just straight up sent him over the top, last straw. Done. Game over.

I wish him the best and I hope he's happier now than he was these last few years. You are right when you say that the DP was the de facto IT dept. of the campaign, especially for 2008. I do believe Bernie has scooped up some of the liberty movement. Remember "Progressives for Paul" and "Blue Republicans"? I bet there's quite a few that came to the liberty movement from the left, and many who went right back once they determined Rand did not represent them, or finally once he dropped out.

I do see Cruz and Trump splitting the liberty movement folks who came from the right though. My conclusion is that the liberty movement is fractured and is not going to coalesce behind any single candidate this election. Positivists can put out all of the crap they want about supposedly how "WE'RE WINNING!", but they are in denial as much as anyone who is #StillRanding. We all know the system is broken, the media is complicit, and the vote is rigged, so it doesn't matter to me who you vote for.

When I talk to Bernie supporters I mention that he is with us on Audit the Fed, and when I talk to Trump supporters I mention that he is the only one in either major party still running who is not a globalist. A Bernie vs. Trump general election is better than a Hillary vs. Jeb, Rubio, or other Random_Neocon_01. It would show that the vast majority of the American people rebuke the establishment and the foreign policy agenda of the globalist/neocons.

Unfortunately, these are not good standard bearers to choose from :/ Neither are flying the flag of Liberty, that's for sure. And to Ted, I too say "No." Nice open letter, thank you, but no thanks. The reason is I do not believe you.

he thought ron and rand had a family business going.  I disagreed.  What did nystrom have going?  a business in which he made a lot of money and then he left.  You see?  Familiarity breeds contempt.  They divide the liberty movement in this way.  Being familiar to something should not breed contempt for it but wisdom.  Human nature tells us to be tired of that thing that we believed in but did not deliver the goods as we thought it might, or should.   Ron Paul may have made money doing what he has always done, but who cares?  Why does this matter?  If you could fight for liberty and make a living doing it would that not be a dream come true for many?  None the less its not about rand or ron and I get that BUT you must understand that the things set in motion by a squeaky congressman from texas are not small events.  They speak to what people are feeling now.  Thats why you see candidates like trump and cruz copying them.  8 Years ago they were laughing at Ron Paul.  NOW, TODAY, THIS ELECTION, they try and steal the ideas they made fun of years ago.  That is politics.  Liars and cheats.  There will always be a remnant of people who really understand the system and what is happening though, no matter the efforts of the political machine to install their chosen candidates who seem to speak to the peoples grievances but are insincere.  Vote fore who you think is the right candidate for liberty but dont make excuses for them once they betray their word.  It happens every election cycle. Its time to end the BS

Friends of Liberty are always hated by tyrants. When asked a reason for their grievance, or open attack: authoritarians will always blame Liberty-lovers for their unwillingness to give in to their dictates, and conform to their demands: they just won't phrase it that candidly.

Herding Mountain Lions is whole lot harder than caging kittens. Liberty has an intrinsic worth that doesn't barter at all with lesser things,: unless those who hold it are tricked, or coerced, into it.

When Liberty is promoted, tyranny must oppose it. They just can't abide freedom's economy to compare with their bankruptcy of ideas. This race is still all about Liberty vs tyranny, despite not having the people we'd ideally wish were running.

Life, liberty, and property do not exist because men have made laws. On the contrary, it was the fact that life, liberty, and property existed beforehand that caused men to make laws in the first place. ― Frédéric Bastiat, The Law

That must be the message of the R3volution. We know. That's all.

I think Kathleen Gee is working to demonstrate force. We don't buy it. We know. We still vote for Liberty. Maybe I'm wrong.

Learning what Anne is going through gives me a glimpse of what MN was going through. Burn out has to be part of it too. Corporations bring new blood all the time. Maybe I'm wrong.

But our focus is always the same Liberty. So, yes still standing. No, hell No.

Ideas change policy, not one corruptible man or woman [POTUS].  Getting involved in local government is a very powerful endeavor.  The localities can block the federal governments attack on liberty.  State and local government involvement will change federal power structures.  Your local sheriff has more power than the feds.  Look into it
