John McCain: Ted Cruz's citizenship is "worth looking into"

PHOENIX -- Sen. John McCain, R-Arizona, who faced questions as the 2008 GOP presidential nominee about his birth abroad, is now posing the same question to Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas.

In an interview Wednesday on Phoenix radio station 550 KFYI's Chris Merill Show, McCain said he "doesn't know" whether Cruz's birth in Canada makes him eligible to be president. Cruz, whose father was born in Cuba, asserts that he is a U.S. citizen because his mother was an American.

This cracked me up a bit especially at the end.  Seems like common sense really.  When will the knives come out for Rubio.  This is a 1, 2, punch waiting to happen to the pressumed 2 and 3.

I have watched the joke news stations here in the metro Chicago area for the last week or so.
There are basically four candidates that get any coverage.
1.Donald Trump
2.Hillary Clinton
3.Bernie Sander
and the fourth whom is at the bottom polls
4. "Jeb" Bush
They always run a piece on Jeb and his campaign.
It is Jeb they are staking out for the Nomination.

Let's get back to Liberty and Freedom.
Trump is working with the Establishment.

Gotta wonder why they are ganging up on Cruz all of a sudden.  It's not like nobody knew before now that Cruz was born in Canada and his father is Cuban.  By making an issue of this (albeit legitimate), they are destroying any future attempt by Cruz to run for President (not that I mind).  Like eating one of their own. I don't know but, maybe it's to give Jeb very much needed help?

Cruz was allowed to flourish because he hurts the chances of anyone in the 2 factions of the party the establishment competes with.  He arguably draws from libertarians and conservatives (evangelicals) of the party.  With everyone fighting for a piece of that pie the establishment can get very dismal numbers and win contests.  That has always been the point.  Cruz and Trump in the race hurt a more pure libertarian Rand because they draw the populists and the evangelicals that maybe be attracted to libertarian ideas on some issues.  However many of these candidates have huge negatives that once exposed to them the voters will quickly recoil.

I think the elegibility issue was bound to come up but the question was when.  Trump jumped the gun which is good for a Rand Paul supporter.  The idea is that now people may leave Cruz out of shock and gather under people with very small numbers so that once again you don't have huge numbers at the top but a tight race for double digits (12-15% respectively).  Bush at this point needs 6 people competing for the crown hence the upcoming debate format to allow 6 "distinct" demographics for people to choose from.  Bush wraps up the establishment vote which has to be in the Romney range 15-20% maybe in Iowa.  Trust me when I say the numbers are totally off.  Look at the historic numbers in Iowa and you will see that the polls are always wrong and things change almost even up to the last 24 hours.  The point is to pull off 3K voters who have no clue game night.

Cruz shouldn't be making ANY attempts. He is not eligible to run for president... period. Rubio isn't eligible, either.
They know this.
I think it should be a treasonable offense to try to usurp the executive office through this kind of fraud. That would make the charlatans think twice before even making such an attempt.
It gauls me that people are too lazy to look into or understand the original intent of the 'natural born citizen' requirement.
BO is ineligible; everything he's done is unConstitutional; his holding that office is unConstitution.
The 'natural born citizen' definition is recorded in the Congressional Globe twice, once in 1862 and again 1866, and it states that all persons born within the Republic, of parents owing allegiance to no other sovereignty, are natural born citizens.

Laugh. It makes you feel good.

Who we see as being treasonous charlatans, the GOP elites see as useful tools.  By attacking Cruz all of a sudden, they are discarding one of their useful tools.  Maybe they now have reason to believe that the guy was actually taking himself seriously and wasn't going to continue being useful  (with their agenda to give Jeb and the next one they will appoint for the next election the nomination)? That would make him not only useless but, potentially dangerous to them.  It's obvious that they don't care about our country or its laws any more than the charlatans do.
