for peace and love

primarily, and about Trump in a secondary way. I myself believe that Doonesbury has been both manipulative and biased. But, as a believer in Jesus, I believe I should listen to my critics; it's a form of loving my 'enemy', so to speak. The standard for Christian behavior doesn't change on the basis of what is politically correct. Although Doonesbury went too far to compare Trump to Satan, that is a point that I believe we should see as believers. A thorough search of the scripture will find each of these sins condemned:

Pride- Proverbs 8:13 The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogance, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate. (for more: https://www.blueletterbible.org/search/search.cfm?Criteria=pride&t=KJV#s...)

Greed- Pro 11:6 The righteousness of the upright will deliver them,
But the treacherous will be caught by their own greed.

Luke 12:15 Then He said to them, “Beware, and be on your guard against every form of greed; for not even when one has an abundance does his life consist of his possessions.” (for more: https://www.blueletterbible.org/search/search.cfm?Criteria=greed&t=NASB#...)

Lust- ( https://www.blueletterbible.org/search/search.cfm?Criteria=lust&t=NASB#s...)

but I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

James 1:14

But each one is tempted when he is carried away and enticed by his own lust.
Then when lust has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and when sin is accomplished, it brings forth death.

Envy- If Trump didn't have envy issues, he would not abuse eminent domain!
Pro 3:31

Do not envy a man of violence
And do not choose any of his ways. (eminent domain does relate here, as Trump uses the force of government to obtain property not due him)

Pro 23:17

Do not let your heart envy sinners,
But live in the fear of the LORD always.

Gluttony- ( https://www.blueletterbible.org/search/search.cfm?Criteria=gluttony&t=NI...) I really didn't see how gluttony applied to Trump either, but it is covered in Scripture, so:
Pro 23:2 (NIV)
and put a knife to your throat if you are given to gluttony.

Wrath- is a double edged sword, it can be good, if against injustice, or evil, if unjust. Both types are listed in Scripture.

Joshua 9: 20 - 24 Jos 9:20

This we will do to them; we will even let them live, lest wrath be upon us, because of the oath which we swore unto them.

And the princes said unto them, Let them live; but let them be hewers of wood and drawers of water unto all the congregation; as the princes had promised them. (if they had broken their oath to the Gibeonites by killing them, God would have been justified in having wrath against them for breaking a promise made in His name)

Unjustified wrath breeds contention:

Pro 19:19

A man of great wrath shall suffer punishment: for if thou deliver him, yet thou must do it again.

the type of person is described here: Pro 21:24

Proud and haughty scorner is his name, who deals in proud wrath.

Jas 1:19

Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: For the wrath of man does not work the righteousness of God.

Sloth- I agree, this doesn't apply to Trump, but Trudeau affirmed that, as well.

Sloth is condemned as well:
Ecc 10:18

Through sloth the roof sinks in,
and through indolence the house leaks.

They used this rule to cheat Ron Paul out of the nomination, and now it comes back to bite them. I'll still vote for Rand in the primaries, but it's third party for the general for me. I would that all of you (and the whole nation) had the plethora of choices we do in the Sunshine state, but I do believe the Libertarian party is on the ballot in all 50 states. With many tired of the two party duopoly, maybe there could be an upset if enough are fired (and FED) up.

Larry Norman was one of my favorites, as well. He, along with others in the original 'Jesus People' movement were authentic. Now that I think about it, it really is unfair to consider Leslie (aka Sam Phillips) Phillips, Crumbacher, Keith Green, the Second Chapter of Acts, and other artists part of the CCM movement. None of these ministries ever made Christianity 'cut and dry', and some of the leading ladies either stepped back from recording for a while or went secular because the CCM leaders at the time wanted a 'cut and dried' Christianity, and they couldn't give them that. It was a bit easier for some of them, like Crumbacher, because of the style of music they chose, or having a male lead, but the music and lyrics actually were far better done by such groups than the pablum we currently hear. There are a few exceptions to this, but they grow fewer and farther between.

This is as good as the old Daily Paul stuff.

Parliamentary tricks indeed.

Well, even thought Trump hates Ron and Rand Paul I hope he gets wind of this shenanigans by the RNC if it is used against him.

I can't vote for a republican (unless his last name is Paul) but my hope all along is for Trump to get pissed off at the RNC and run as an independent after using the party for all the visibility he can get.

THEN I could vote for Trump in order to PUNISH the dirty GOP for what they did to Ron Paul (a life-long republican) in his 2008 and 2012 campaigns.

It's Larry Norman. One of the most underappreciated artists of all time. He was one of the main influences on Frank Black of the Pixies, and through the pixies influence over bands like Nirvana, helped craft in some small way most of the alternative music you hear today. I would describe his sound as one part Bob Dylan, one part Leon Russel, and maybe just a dash of Elvis. He was an avid Christian, and pioneered the Jesus Music movement (basically Christian hippies). While that movement went on to birth CCM and Christian Rock, calling him a CCM artist is unfair: I would compare the Christianity of his music much more to U2 (or even Black Sabbath for that matter) than to most of the religious pap put out by the CCM industry. All he really did was to express his spirituality with popular music as had always been the norm up until the 50's.

My username is from the title of one of his compilation albums, entitled "Rebel Poet, Jukebox Balladeer: The Anthology."

of the guy interviewing Ron? I went back and watched it several times and his left eye is blatantly reptilian. Is it not?

ghost writer, Ron would have known about it, and they are still friends, which to me indicates that Lew must not have been the ghost writer. I thoroughly agree that publishing that attack on Rand on LRC.com was very bad, and I don't understand it. As far as Lew "being bothered" by Ron not running as fiery as he did on Morton Downey Jr. when he was the LP candidate; how can you presume that he was; it was in 1988, Ron was 20 years younger then.

and did a few acronyms for Popular Liberty. One of my favorite Contemporary Christian artists was Leslie (aka Sam) Phillips and I thought the song Libera-me was one of the best for describing struggles we all face. It related well to my search for the truth and how it is found in Christ. Her picture is the one I currently use, as she sings the song that inspired my name.

:) I'm not sure, but I think Stevie Nicks is the avatar the Rebel Poet uses, feel free to disabuse me of this notion, if I'm wrong.

"since the symbol for the third Reich was a Gamma Cross, could it be that the symbol for the Forth Reich is a Delta "Triangle"?"

That could very well be the case. The deciples of lucifer seem to hold patterns, numbers, symbols, rituals, and psychopathy to heart.

My understanding of the swastika symbol is that it was also used by the Buddahists back in the B.C. but in a mirror image. A lot can be extrapolated from the symbol itself. Because its construction is so basic.

You can also make out the Orthodox cross used by the Greeks and the Knights Templar, modified by a "twisting" effect to form the swastika. The cross symbol itself offers different meaning to different people.

The gamma is also present in the Korean alphabet, the first character (mirror image), pronounced "ghee-yuhk", hence a "G" sound when spoken.

As for the triangle, a lot can be interpreted as well. The obvious one being the one with the eye. But it is just a symbol which may have many esoteric meanings. Like with the swastika, i can only guess what they are.

"Think of me as a nut job"

These exercises are frowned upon by some, but its usefulness is clear as they provides clues to better understand history and what is currently around us, so that we may make more informed choices.

If they own us as property, they are our masters, and their will is our law. If they do not own us as property, they are not our masters, and their will, as such, is of no authority over us. - Lysander Spooner

Ron Aldof's picture

I agree with you, the swastika was the symbol for the Third Reich. If you look up the third letter of the alphabet you find the word gamma for the letter C G. Now another word for the swastika is the Gamma Cross. Swastika/Gamma Cross. Third.

There has been people wondering why there is the use of triangles and pyramids as symbols for company's, in advertisements. Behind stage acts, on the backdrops of people just sitting the discussing things. I looked up the fourth letter of the alphabet, the word for the letter D is delta. The symbol for delta is a triangle.
Think of me as a nut job if you will. But, since the symbol for the third Reich was a Gamma Cross, could it be that the symbol for the Forth Reich is a Delta "Triangle"?

He's correct in saying our whole model is broken, but Trump has nothing to do with that. If there had never been a Hamilton who fooled Washington into allowing the banksters in, an Adams who wanted to be a king with his Sedition Acts, a Lincoln who crushed every check held withing the Constitution, if there had never been a Wilson who for the second time gave our country away to the banksters and involved us in a stupid war, if there had never been a FDR who 'socialized' the country with his not-so-new deals, or an Eisenhower who dismissed the Bricker Amendment, or a Reagan who gave away the education system to the communists, or Pappa Bush or a Clinton or a Bush Jr and definitely never a BO.... Trump is just a candidate at this point, one I can't stand, but not because he's divorced or loud or abrasive. And I actually don't see him as a proud man... he is, of course, proud of his achievements, but every candidate talks about those. I think we sometimes confuse self-confidence with pride.

The cartoon is really just another example of Christian bashing. No Christian can determine what another person does, only how s/he acts. Would the support be better placed in Cruz or Rubio, neither of whom are eligible?

The fact is there are NO candidates actively running who deserve anyone's support.

People see a failed empire.
They know Trump has failed and was able to right his course.
Somehow they think he can right America's course, too.
But how, when he knows nothing about what America is supposed to be?
They can't think that far back, haven't educated themselves properly.
There are millions out there who still believe BO is the best prez evuh.
And I bet a lot of those people think of themselves as Christian, too.

Trudeau has been and always will be propaganda for the left. That we can agree in certain areas doesn't change that.

Laugh. It makes you feel good.
