...a fellow Rand supporter, I cannot vote for anyone left in the field with the possible exception of Trump if he goes independent.

Presently I like the divisiveness within the GOP between the Trump supporters and the establishment.

My hope is that Trump eventually goes independent after the RNC tries to cheat him out of the nomination.

But if eventually the establishment coalesces around Trump as a good enough candidate, then I won't give them the satisfaction of my vote in November.

I want party politics to be ABOLISHED and maybe Trump can single-highhandedly get that ball rolling.

I want to see the establishment SQUIRM for what they did to Dr. Paul.

Establishment Christie looking for a free doughnut. Makes sense now that he was the attack dog to Rand in the debates. It was all set up. Trump was in on it. When he wasn't needed anymore he was sent back to NJ.

Uncommon alliance. At this point these groups won't come together. Get some leaders together and maybe you can sell me on the idea. Both are seemingly opposed to one another even on their views on cops. Its a race thing.

Well, as much as I still dislike and do not trust Trump, I think this just stinks but I'm not surprised. We all saw what they did to Ron and how they wanted no part of Rand.

Someone posted a comment in that article that I think is quite possible. If the corrupt GOP drops the Ron Paul Rule 40 in order to stop Trump, then Trump is quite free to break away and declare himself an Independent. I'm guessing that he might do that IF, and only IF, he truly is not a Hillary plant and IF he really wants to be president.

And, I think that Trump will win as an Independent because the people are just that fed up with both establishment parties. As an Independent, he will actually pull in even more people than if he were the GOP nominee.

I remember the argument for Ron to run as an Independent for the 2012 election because of exactly what happened to him at the hands of GOP establishment gatekeepers.

But that was then, and this is now. I think the current political climate of distrust of both parties is so very high that an Independent could win.

I cannot believe the candidates running. This is totally unbelievable. People like all this. I do see the Trumpies and Cruzies at each others throats which make it enjoyable. But, to actually believe all the bull that come out of their mouths is not.
Chris Christie coming out to endorse Trump shows this is a sham on the people. A major establishment Obama suck up endorses Trump. Must be the Syndicate told him to. We know NY and NJ are run by these Wise Guys.

primarily, and about Trump in a secondary way. I myself believe that Doonesbury has been both manipulative and biased. But, as a believer in Jesus, I believe I should listen to my critics; it's a form of loving my 'enemy', so to speak. The standard for Christian behavior doesn't change on the basis of what is politically correct. Although Doonesbury went too far to compare Trump to Satan, that is a point that I believe we should see as believers. A thorough search of the scripture will find each of these sins condemned:

Greed- Pro 11:6 The righteousness of the upright will deliver them,

and put a knife to your throat if you are given to gluttony.

Wrath- is a double edged sword, it can be good, if against injustice, or evil, if unjust. Both types are listed in Scripture.

Joshua 9: 20 - 24 Jos 9:20

This we will do to them; we will even let them live, lest wrath be upon us, because of the oath which we swore unto them.

And the princes said unto them, Let them live; but let them be hewers of wood and drawers of water unto all the congregation; as the princes had promised them. (if they had broken their oath to the Gibeonites by killing them, God would have been justified in having wrath against them for breaking a promise made in His name)

Unjustified wrath breeds contention:

Pro 19:19

A man of great wrath shall suffer punishment: for if thou deliver him, yet thou must do it again.

the type of person is described here: Pro 21:24

Proud and haughty scorner is his name, who deals in proud wrath.

Sloth- I agree, this doesn't apply to Trump, but Trudeau affirmed that, as well.

They used this rule to cheat Ron Paul out of the nomination, and now it comes back to bite them. I'll still vote for Rand in the primaries, but it's third party for the general for me. I would that all of you (and the whole nation) had the plethora of choices we do in the Sunshine state, but I do believe the Libertarian party is on the ballot in all 50 states. With many tired of the two party duopoly, maybe there could be an upset if enough are fired (and FED) up.

Larry Norman was one of my favorites, as well. He, along with others in the original 'Jesus People' movement were authentic. Now that I think about it, it really is unfair to consider Leslie (aka Sam Phillips) Phillips, Crumbacher, Keith Green, the Second Chapter of Acts, and other artists part of the CCM movement. None of these ministries ever made Christianity 'cut and dry', and some of the leading ladies either stepped back from recording for a while or went secular because the CCM leaders at the time wanted a 'cut and dried' Christianity, and they couldn't give them that. It was a bit easier for some of them, like Crumbacher, because of the style of music they chose, or having a male lead, but the music and lyrics actually were far better done by such groups than the pablum we currently hear. There are a few exceptions to this, but they grow fewer and farther between.
