Delta Airlines announced they would be ending their discounted travel rates for NRA members in response to the school shooting in Florida earlier this month, and Georgia’s Lt. Governor Casey Cagle isn’t taking that lying down.

Cagle said Monday that he would “kill any legislation” that will help Delta until the airline “fully reinstates its relationship” with the NRA. Cagle said that conservatives need to “fight back” against corporations who attack them.

President Trump hosted governors from around the country at the White House Monday for an open conversation on gun policy.

Trump has proposed arming up to 20 percent of the nation’s teachers in recent days. Some governors, specifically Washington Governor Jay Inslee, argued against Trump’s proposal for arming teachers.

However, two governors stood up and proudly defended their state’s policy of allowing teachers to carry a weapon.

Deputy Scot Peterson said in a statement released through his lawyer that he is not a “coward” and acted appropriately during the school shooting in Parkland, Florida.

‘They should have been more aggressive about getting the victims out’

A first responder to the Parkland school shooting claims he was told to stand down and not enter the building to recover victims, which he believes would have saved lives.

Speaking to a WSVN Miami News 7 reporter, an emergency medical responder who was one of the first at the scene, said law enforcement did not follow mass casualty event protocols.

Nezar Hamze is the Regional Operations Director of the Florida chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR). Essentially, he is the number two leader of the statewide chapter. Prior to that, he held the position of Executive Director for the chapter. Now Hamze is a Deputy Sheriff in the Broward Sheriff’s Office.
