Here's a PERFECT illustration of why Ayn Rand's philosophies are the ONLY way to survive and thrive.

In addition to her great book "Atlas Shrugged," Rand wrote several others including an interesting little book called "THE VIRTUE OF SELFISHNESS."

Indeed it was this VERY "SELFISH" endeavor to protect his OWN life which resulted in James Shaw Jr.  SAVING MANY OTHERS' LIVES.

In fact he SAID as much - that in that momen,t he was just trying to survive himself.
