After the other night's debate, I've decided to get back into this thing and support Rand Paul.

I love what he said about questioning regime change. I think Americans need to hear this message over and over again.

Cruz is a Elmer Gantry snake oil salesman and these people buy it. The same gullible people that visited the likes of Jimmy Swaggart and Jim Bakker, and visit Joel Osteen and Bennie Hinn. People that believe that an orator can save them.

sooo...as a newbie to this site (as we all are) and also, PopLib... this is the very 1st post on a topic that I initiate.

My thought...wouldn't it be great if there were real standards to hold candidates to?

While I know polygraphs are subject to interpretation, so is pretty much every word that comes out of every persons mouth.

They're not 100% accurate, but certainly would act as a deterrent to the cult of off the cuff, wild spin and outright lying.

A flurry of flashes and clicks erupted from the pool of press photographers while whispers of a new Cold War flooded the hallway outside. It was the 2007 Munich Security Conference, and after years of trying to court the West, Russian President Vladimir Putin had finally had enough.

Contrarian Dude did an exemplary video shinning light on a new bill that Obama signed into law this week. HR22 basically says that if you have "seriously" delinquent tax debt, your passport would be revoked. He further points out that this happens without a trial or a hearing. A bureaucrat with a swipe of his pen can make you a prisoner within the boarders of your own country. Additionally, they wrote a provision in there to insulate them from a lawsuit if they accidentally get it wrong.
