District of Columbia council members introduced a new bill Tuesday to allow non-citizens the right to vote in local elections as a direct affront to the new Trump administration.

“This bill allows permanent residents in the District of Columbia, who are not yet U.S. citizens, the right to vote in our local municipal elections,” Council member Grosso said in a statement. “These residents are well on their path to citizenship.”

The Environmental Protection Agency, which ran up millions in unnecessary expenditures during former President Barack Obama’s administration, has had its checkbook taken away by President Donald Trump.

The order delineates several categories of undocumented immigrants who are priority for removal from the United States including those who have been “charged with any criminal offense” or those who have “committed acts that constitute as a chargeable offense.”

President Donald Trump is putting his pen where his mouth is. After a flurry of executive orders on issues from Obamacare to immigration, he was preparing to sign two executive orders severely curtailing U.S. involvement in the United Nations, according to The New York Times.

Both orders, now in draft form, will fulfill campaign promises Trump made repeatedly in the run-up to the November election.

President Raul Castro expressed Cuba’s willingness to work with President Donald Trump but warned his country would not concede any of its sovereignty.

Castro made the comments at a summit of Latin American and Caribbean leaders in the Dominican Republic that was dominated by talk of Trump’s immigration and trade policies.

‘Cuba and the United States can cooperate and live together in a civilized manner,’ Castro said Wednesday.
