A video has been released showing police officers in Las Vegas using excessive and deadly force against an unarmed man.

Several officers attacked the victim, who was tased seven times and put in an unapproved chokehold.

Had he survived the ordeal he would not be facing criminal charges.

Thursday on CNN’s “Anderson Cooper 360,” Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz called into question the purpose of the Department of Justice naming Robert Mueller as a special counsel to investigate Russian involvement in the 2016 presidential election.

Dershowitz argued Mueller’s appointment would benefit Trump given that “collaborating with the Russians” to get elected wasn’t illegal and Mueller’s role would be to investigate illegalities.

Trump has previously praised Israel’s security walls built to curtail the flow of terrorists from Palestine into Israel. “People want protection and a wall protects. All you have to do is ask Israel,” he said in his early days in office.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has backed up Trump’s comparison, saying: “President Trump is right. I built a wall along Israel’s southern border. It stopped all illegal immigration. Great success. Great idea.”

Internet provocateurs and journalists Chuck Johnson and Mike Cernovich are each launching websites to go after reporters, The Daily Caller has learned.

Johnson, who currently runs GotNews.com, told TheDC Thursday, “The American press no longer behaves properly, and they need to be held to account.”

UPDATE: Swedish prosecutors have decided to end the rape investigation into Julian Assange and lift the Europe-wide arrest warrant against him, but UK police say they will still arrest him.

In a statement on its website, the Swedish prosecution authority said that the “Director of Public Prosecution, Ms Marianne Ny, has today decided to discontinue the investigation regarding suspected rape (lesser degree) by Julian Assange”.
