Country singer Charlie Daniels penned an open letter to Sen. Chuck Schumer (D., N.Y.) saying the Senate minority leader does not have "one drop of happiness" in his life and that he has "opened Pandora's box" by going after President Donald Trump.

Daniels, who is known for the hit song "The Devil Went Down to Georgia," wrote a letter published by CNS News criticizing Schumer for having what Daniels suggested was a blind allegiance to the Democratic party.

A study meant to debunk a claim made by Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Scott Pruitt in his confirmation hearing ended up doing the opposite — it proved him right.

The study, published Thursday in the journal Nature, found that Pruitt’s claim of a “leveling off of warming” over the past two decades is unsupported by satellite-derived temperature data, which measures the lowest few miles of the atmosphere.

Donald Trump pledged that those in his administration who are leaking sensitive information will be “prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”

In a statement Thursday, the president said he has asked the Department of Justice to launch “a complete review” into leaks, which he finds “deeply troubling” because they pose “a grave threat” to national security.
