The former Equifax CEO who left the company in disgrace after a massive security breach was peppered with critical questions Tuesday during a congressional hearing.

“It’s like the guards at Fort Knox forgot to lock the doors and failed to notice the thieves were emptying the vaults,” Republican Rep. Greg Walden of Oregon said, reports the Los Angeles Times. “How does this happen when so much is at stake? I don’t think we can pass a law that fixes stupid.”

A caller to the Michael Savage radio show who says he was neighbors with Las Vegas gunman Stephen Paddock asserts that Paddock could not have carried out the massacre and that it was actually a “set-up”.

The man, a former Marine who called himself Rick, says he was Paddock’s neighbor between December 2015 and June 2016 in Mesquite, Nevada.

Jimmy Kimmel used the platform of his talk show last night to rail against gun rights in the aftermath of the Las Vegas massacre but failed to mention the fact that he has his own armed security and recently increased it.

Breaking down in tears at one point, the Jimmy Kimmel Live host said Republican lawmakers, “should be praying for God to forgive them for letting the gun lobby run this country.”

“To say that guns ought to be more regulated is just the wrong way,” he continued, “Now, what ought to be the topic of discussion is the tragedy that took place and how we can help to get God back into the mainstream of public life and it was absent in the killer and anyone that tries to make political hay, again, by talking about gun control, is backward in my opinion.”
