I think overall
Rand did great, but I have to say Ben Carson's closing statement was the best. Would have loved to have heard Rand close with something similar. Praying that the people of Iowa get this one right. Time to go to the caucus and get to work!

I was let down with Rand's closing statement
This was the most important closing statement yet, and I gave the closing statement to Bush (hate to say it). Rand needed more "punch". Loved his crowd at the end though!

I missed that, but still liked the point he was trying to make. Rand supporters are out in full force in Iowa and I will be shocked if he's not in the top three and really do believe he has a shot at outright winning. We'll find out in a few days. Night all!

this is 20th century america and nice guys finish last. Rand needs some debate pointers. He needs to make headlines not friends. He didnt do bad but he definitely didnt stand out.

from your future. No, Rand did not come across as a politician in that debate. He seemed to come across truthfully and with reason and intelligence. Maybe 20th century Americans aren't ready for that but, in the 21st century, more people are craving it.

Good answers from Carson and Cruz
on ethanol. I am kinda leaning more on the Cruz side when it comes to immediately ceasing the practice of mandating our energy producers. It might hurt some investors at first, it already has hurt those not in the loop, but ultimately we would have a more realistic price for energy.
