GRAND RAPIDS, Minn. - Prosecutors in northern Minnesota have filed murder charges against a man they say decapitated the person who he thought raped his girlfriend.

Joseph Thoresen of Grand Rapids is charged with second degree murder in the beating, stabbing and decapitation death of 20-year-old David Haiman of Hibbing whose head and torso was recovered from a wooded area of Itasca County near Ball Club.

A poll released on Wednesday from Morning Consult found that many Americans are in favor of barring immigration from certain parts of the world - even from countries bordering the US.

Donald Trump injected a strong anti-immigration sentiment into the political conversation. More recently, he's reintroduced his proposal for an indefinite barring of Muslim immigration into the country - a suggestion widely condemned by elected Republicans.

The British Pound was down as much as 11% and the Euro was as much as 4% lower.
