I think we're far past the "if's". This is a continuation of the abuse of power. Lord Acton said " Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely". I think it is better said that " Only the corrupt seek power". As far as souls go, those belong to individuals. The "state' doesn't have a soul, only an agenda.

I'm totally okay with your use of the words "we" and "ours"! Best thing I've read all year!

I used to be active in the Libertarian Party. I gave that up over 20 years ago because the Party came to believe they needed to field candidates for every office possible, even if their candidates were laughing-stock fools. Very often there were more fools running for office than anything. What's more, they were totally unrealistic about the cost of mounting a real campaign. Rather than waste my time and money, I devoted myself to studying the philosophy of liberty so that if the opportunity arose to support a good liberty candidate, or if I chose to become one myself, I'd have some good depth.

So far, I've not felt the desire to become a candidate, and I've found few candidates to support. The Dr.(s) Paul are the only candidates I'm aware of that were worthy of time, effort, or money. No one else on my ballot made any sense, Libertarian or not.

If this year is like the past, I'll be a proud and principled non-voter.

But like I said, he has some merits and would be better than what we have now. I support John McAfee, but I will vote for any of these candidates over the republicans or democrats. Petersen has been getting better so I'll keep an eye on him. He just comes off as a bit condescending, but I think if he continues to improve on that he could be a great candidate. He is a bit young, but his platform is pretty damn good.

This article about, Antonin Scalia, will expose why the majority of so-called Constitutional lawyers are just as destructive to the Constitution as progressives who believe it to be it to be a living document? In actuality, these traitors may be worse, by their vial deception of Americans who want to restore the Republic?

Ventura has turned socialist, how much freedom is there in that?
Petersen sounds pretty good, needs some polishing, he is new at running for office. I'd rather have a unpolished candidate running than one that side with the likes of Bernie Sanders any day.

Let's get back to Liberty and Freedom.
Trump is working with the Establishment.

I've thought for quite a while (like Obama did in 2008 by planting fainting supporters in his audiences) that Trump is planting operatives acting like protesters but just being part of the show.

This latest one was so obvious it's laughable.

NO one in no matter how much an idiot they may be would ever think they could personally attack Trump at the podium and get away with it.

Trump knows that the drama has to continuously be amped up to eclipse the last round of tricks.

Trump is a showman at heart and is really about entertaining his audiences with some occasional talk about the actual issues as the sideshow.

I'm not fooled. But I am amused.

And I hope he continues to split the republican party until it completely blows up.

The corrupt and rotted GOP and RNC deserve anything negative that happens to them for what they did to Ron Paul in 2008 and 2012.

McAfee messaged me back that he couldn't attend but sent in a video for them to play. Did anyone see them play it?

Libertarian debate--awful distorted audio; check.

I'm a libertarian and I wouldn't vote for any of those losers, but I especially wouldn't vote for bloviating Doctor Whatsisname. The one who immediately corrected one of the questioners that referred to him as Mr. Whatsisname. He reminded me too much of femdem Barbara Boxer who insisted on being called senator Boxer (I worked so hard for that title!). They're both revolting persons of privilege and insist that others recognize their phony status.

Where was John McAfee? That was no debate without him.
