The veterans group whose Super Bowl ad was rejected by the NFL is not giving up on their message.

American Veterans wanted to run a spot during Sunday’s Super Bowl with a simple suggestion: “Please Stand.” After the NFL rejected it on the basis that the advertisement was too “political,” AMVETS is now responding with a PSA to reinforce the message they want to get across.

Chicago police say a home invasion suspect opened fire at home on the city’s Northwest Side and accidentally shot his accomplice in the head, killing him.

ABC 7 reports that the homicide occurred Tuesday night when the invasion suspects “encountered several family members at the front door” of the home they were allegedly targeting. One of the suspects began shooting at the porch of the home, striking his partner in the head.
