HOUSE COMMITTEE APPROVES FUNDING FOR BORDER WALL

The Trump administration scored another victory Wednesday as the House Appropriations Committee approved $1.6 billion to be allocated toward construction of a southern border wall.

The bill met the White House’s funding request in full and provides for a “physical barrier construction along the Southern border – including bollards and levee improvements,” according to a press release Tuesday ahead of the bill’s approval.

A federal court in New Jersey has ruled that US citizens are legally allowed to fight back against cops who use excessive force, in a landmark ruling against police brutality.

The decision by an appellate court involves the case of Darnell Reed who was beaten black and blue by officers during an arrest in 2013.

A jury found him not guilty on seven of the eight charges, with the only guilty charge being that of “resisting arrest.”

CNN anchor Poppy Harlow apparently didn’t recognize the Star Spangled Banner on Thursday, mistaking it for the French national anthem.

Harlow was covering President Trump’s arrival in Paris, France to meet with French president Emmanuel Macron. After the two world leaders shook hands, they stood together as a band played the United States national anthem.

However, Harlow cut to the scene by saying, “Let’s just listen in to the French national anthem for just a moment.”
