‘Cajun Navy’ En Route to Assist with Harvey Rescues

A year after some Louisiana residents, dubbed the Cajun Navy, used their boats and smartphones to help their own neighbors in historic floods, the volunteer fleet was granted clearance to assist in Harvey rescue efforts in Houston, Texas.

Social media accounts belonging to portions of the all-civilian Cajun Navy announced late Sunday that storm chasers and boaters were making their way to the Houston metro area with the approval of local authorities.

Sheriff Joe Arpaio, freshly pardoned by President Donald Trump, told the Washington Examiner Monday that he is considering a run for U.S. Senate.
“I could run for mayor, I could run for legislator, I could run for Senate,” Arpaio told the Examiner. “I’m sure getting a lot of people around the state asking me … All I’m saying is the door is open and we’ll see what happens. I’ve got support. I know what support I have.”

A Houston-area woman set off a firestorm in the hours leading up to Hurricane Harvey’s landfall when she wrote on social media that local officials and the mainstream media were misleading the public about the severity of the incoming storm.
Resident Rebecca Reisig said the Houston City Council knew Hurricane Harvey was expected to do far greater damage than was being reported to the public.

In an eyebrow-raising turnaround, the Washington Post admitted that, “Black-clad antifa members attack peaceful right-wing demonstrators in Berkeley” yesterday.

President Donald Trump then retweeted the article, acknowledging once again that despite much of the mainstream media’s attempt to lionize Antifa, the group is a militant offshoot of the violent Alt-Left.

Social justice warriors want universities to ‘ban veterans’

A flyer recently appeared at the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs (UCCS) declaring that “in order to protect our academic institutions we must ban veterans from four-year universities.”

The flyer is part of a new “Social Justice Collective Weekly” newsletter, which is not affiliated with the school, and is aimed at “promoting justice in our society.” The first issue of the newsletter includes an article titled “Should Veterans Be Banned From UCCS and Other Universities?”
