I don't see breed, I look past the surface and search for the tone of a creatures heart beep !

With that out of the way, it's not so much the dog, as it is the owner. trash owner = trash dog. Non trash owner = non trash dog ( the overwhelming majority of the time.)

we had a neighbor that had one. And that dog was wonderful with our cats, they'd play for hours. They really are sweet dogs if you don't raise them to be vicious. They got a bad rep because of their strength and fighting prowess, so that those who fought dogs latched on to them and taught them to kill.

Ours are mixed breed though, one is pit and great dane, one is shepard/wolf/pit,both are intelligent, and have a great sense of self worth/pride and respect for everything, especially kids, ours even defy commands to protect them.

The one mixed with wolf weighs 140 lbs, tries to climb onto our laps, his head is 2 ft around(guess he doesn't know how big he is  :) )

and gets moody when he gets in trouble,or gets told NO,he cant have a treat right now. But man, they love to play and chew, there isn't a safe empty plastic bottle in the house.

The one mixed with dane thinks we are there to serve him and his every whim.He will actually sit and stare and expect you to get off the couch so he can have that spot!!!

They do expect a lot. My female pit bull will hop on my bed pull the blankets down and lay on my spot, with her head on my pillow. When I try to move her, she becomes dead weight.
