MSM In Crisis: Evaporating Ad Revenue

Pew Research Center reported last year that newspapers were especially hard hit in both areas. During 2015, the study found weekday circulation fell by 7 percent while ad revenue dropped by 8 percent.

When revenue drops, no matter the cause, businesses are often forced to make uncomfortable adjustments. In the realm of news media, experts say certain expenses are usually the first to go.
