President Donald Trump, known for his proficiency at using social media as a direct line to the American people, has now become the first U.S. president to officially join Snapchat.

Snapchat is a video and photo messaging app that allows users to send content that “disappears” from the platform after a few seconds of viewing.

Users also have the option to post media as “Stories,” which remain in the app for viewing for up to 24 hours.
