Except not quite for the reasons I would prefer.

Like protesting our ROTTEN, IMMORAL government continuing to kill foreigners DAILY with drones and other weapons just because they don't look like us, worship like us or think like us.

So, I'm old school and won't apologize for that. I adore it and appreciate my parent's sacrifice that offered that life experience to me. I'm one of those that sometimes cry while saying the pledge and singing the anthem. So what. I won't
apologize for that. I've always known I was lucky. Heck Yeah! Thank you GOD and USA!

I am thankful for waking up, for the bed I slept on, the food I eat, the air I breathe, my beating heart and the floor I walk on. I am thankful, for my home that has a huge indoor bathroom with running water cold and hot, a shower, sink, Jacuzzi tub and glass windows that let the sun in. Heck Yeah! Thank you GOD and USA!

I am thankful that I know that a helicopter, a drone or airplane won't drop a bomb on me when I go pick up the mail. I am thankful that I know I won't be assaulted walking to my car on my drive way or when I open the garage door. Heck Yeah! Thank you GOD and USA!

And for all that life and freedom I say:

I pledge Allegiance to the One Nation under God...with liberty and justice for all.

Even when it is threatened, violated, smeared and unappreciated. It is all an illusion. These United States are an IDEA. Heck Yeah! Thank you GOD and USA!

It is an illusion that the wars our men and women go to are for our liberties. It is an illusion that we live in a free country. For that matter, our money is an illusion. After all, the Pledge of Allegiance was edited by a socialist.

So, the pledge is just a WAY to recognize our luck for existing in this present form. For being humble and grateful that we so happen to have been born on this soil. And to recognize as good or bad as it is today that this country wouldn't be if it weren't for those that fought against the tyrant King and all of that. Heck Yeah! Thank you GOD and USA!

Imagine: We owe it to a veteran of the Civil War that had the creativity and foresight to put together words that expressed then, today and the future generations to remember HOW FREAKING LUCKY WE ARE. Heck Yeah! Thank you GOD and USA!
