The DIRTY, CORRUPT Presidential Debates Commission Has Cheated the Libertarians OUT of the National Debates.

The CRITERIA for participation should be whether or not a candidate appears on ALL 50 STATE BALLOTS.

Because polls can be manipulated, or just not inclusive of anyone but the 2 major corrupt parties.

The Libertarians will in fact be on every state ballot in November and as such ARE QUALIFIED for the debates.

Gary Johnson and Bill Weld are not Libertarian....Their cultural stances could be more tolerable if Johnson and Weld actually had a libertarian view on the role of government. But they don't, often embracing authoritarian positions without any logical justification.

The Ron Paul Institute recently accused the two of "dragging libertarianism through the mud."

I'd rather chew a whole roll of aluminum foil than vote for Johnson/Weld but I'd still like to see them in the debates.

The Commisssion for Presidential Debates (CPD) is a private commission that receives no funding from the government. As such, they can invite whoever they want and exclude whoever they want. If you disagree with their policies, probably the best way to protest is to take note of the TV sponsors and write them.

The CPD gives reasons for their policies, including the 15% threshold for inclusion, here: http://debates.org/index.php?page=overview

I'd love to see Johnson in the debates, especially if Hillary is too sick to debate. Libertarian leaning people on both sides of the Republican / Democrat fence need to see how close he is to Hillary's position. That said, I could have voted for any other Libertarian candidate except for Johnson in good conscience. His choice of Weld did nothing to assuage the guilt I would have felt, it simply confirmed to me that Johnson is a left-statist (https://www.zeroaggressionproject.org/mental-lever/left-statists-and-rig...) rather than a libertarian. As it is, I'm inclined to leave the presidential choice blank or vote for Castle.

...rather for the PLATFORM of the Libertarian Party, which is far and away better than either of the two ROTTED, CORRUPT and ANTI-AMERICAN political parties.

It's up to US the voters to hold the Libertarian candidates feet to the fire if they sway from Libertarian values.

The only problem I have with the Constitution Party is that they propose too much religion in their platform.

I'm a God-believing, God-fearing man, but our nation is still based on both freedom OF and FROM religion, and the Constitution Party is way too evangelical in their ideals.

All other 3rd parties are worthless.

And I've studied them all.

But I'd rather vote for a principled but open-minded Constitution Party candidate (Like Chuck Baldwin, and, I believe,Darrell Castle) than vote for statists posing as Libertarians. I'll be convicted if I voted for Johnson and Weld when they seem to think Obama was a good president and Hillary would be OK as well. These two are both left-statists, and frankly, furthering the left-statist swing is just as bad an idea (if not worse!) as electing a right statist. I'd prefer pendulum stop in the center of the most freedom for all, and Johnson won't do that. I'll be happy to vote for Libertarians in other races, but will not give an award to the LP for the choice of Johnson/Weld. Mac Affee and Petersen would have been acceptable. Johnson is not. Trump is closer to Libertarian ideals than they (Johnson and Weld) are.
