Olympic hopeful Sarah Brown has run a personal best in the 1500 meter race, 4:03.20, faster than any of the contenders at the Rio Olympics. This is an exceptional time, but something even more exceptional kept her away. Implanted with an IUD, she discovered she was pregnant. (This happens less than 1% of the time) After consulting her doctors, she and her husband chose to have the IUD removed right away. This gave the best chance for the pre-born baby to survive.
