A reminder: The 2nd Amendment applies to the federal government only, not the states. Any SCOTUS decison otherwise is just another flawed misinterpretation of the US Constitution. The states can restrict guns unless disallowed by their respective state constitutions. Admission into the union was predicated on the states emulating the Bill of Rights in their respective constitutions. Let's assume that a state doesn't want to do so and amends their constitution. Well, that's a basis for removal from the union. Like I've said, the time for a peaceful separation, i.e. secession, is here

BTW, this latest legislation by the US Congress which provides federal incentives for states to adopt red-flag laws must be fought. If  states adopt such red-flag laws, those laws can only be fought on the the basis of the legality of federal financing and the states' constitution regarding gun ownership. Once those red-flag laws are in place, they will be hard to legally fight, primarily over federal incentives unless a state's constitution specifically prohibits them. Even if a state specifically prohibits such red-flag laws, I still wouldn't get too excited. Look at the recent ruling by the SCOTUS on their allowance of Pennsylvania to violate it's own laws regarding election integrity.  Like I've said, the time for a peaceful separation, i.e. secession, is here
