House Republicans are pushing a horrendous bill this week. The gun section alone infringes the 1st, 2nd, 5th & 6th Amendments. #StopHR5611

Tisis a terrible piece of legislation, I did red it, not only what Amash has pointed out,it expands spying on the people, it can strip people of movement, it continues to centralize the police state, and encourages Brown Shirting.

IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES

Committee on Homeland Security, and in addition to the Committees on
the Judiciary, and Foreign Affairs, for a period to be subsequently
determined by the Speaker, in each case for consideration of such

I didn't take the time to read every word (I'm sure neither will anyone in Congress) but the sense of it I got was that your right to travel or to own a gun will be determined by a bureaucratic administrator who will apply unknown standards to unknown people, with little or no provisions for the individual to challenge in an open court.

The brief nod toward making such rules consistent with liberties guaranteed under the Constitution is cold comfort when one considers that the very existence of such a commission is in contradiction to our right to free press and free spech (what you say could land you on a terrorist suspect list), right to confront your accusers (there is no right to a trial that I found, so accusations and mere suspicions can limit your freedom of movement or self-defense without appeal to a court of law), and it goes without saying that this bill applies to all states (making the 10th amendment a little more moot than it was before.)

I'm sure I missed stuff. I'd like to hear what other people got from the text of the bill.

Check out Justin Amash, he has read it and is bashing the hell out of it.
Lone wolf,I heard tonight our buddy Bill O'Reilly has said this should pass with one hundred percent of the votes and no dissent.
