DirecTV Cancels OAN's Contract

We'll see if DirecTV proceeds as planned as satellite TV is common in the hospitality industry. I've pushed DRM (Digital Radio Mondiale) for years for reasons like this one. Although low frame rate video is technically possible via DRM, the DRM standard still struggles for mass acceptance. Acceptance is growing, but too slowly for my taste. DRM is an OTA (Over the Air) standard which is not trackable for the listener. While many people have cut the cord which is good, I simply won't use a trackable streaming alternative. I'll only use non-trackable OTA digital broadcasts. Digital OTA TV and radio is the only viable way forward for a freedom-loving person. DRM is the standard which allows the latter to happen. 

IIUC, DRM can be carried via the newest digital TV broadcast standard, ATSC 3.0 which implies the Internet Protocol is employed in some fashion. At this point, I'm uncertain about the trackability or utility of such a combination. Both DRM and ATSC 3.0 are very capable digital broadcast standards.We just need good content like OAN available via those standards.
