DO GOVERNMENT-RUN RETIREMENT PLANS LIKE SOCIAL SECURITY INCENTIVIZE GOVERNMENTS TO KILL OLDER PEOPLE???

AS SCIENCE ALLOWS HUMANS TO LIVE LONGER AND AGING POPULATIONS MAKE UP EVER LARGER PERCENTAGES OF POPULATIONS, IT STARTS DRAGGING DOWN A SOCIETY'S ABILITY TO SUPPORT SUCH OLDER AND LONGER-LIVING GENERATIONS.

TAKE ITALY FOR INSTANCE WITH ITS HUGE POPULATION OF OLD PEOPLE LIVING ON GOVERNMENT PENSION-TYPE  PROGRAMS (AT LEAST BEFORE THIS CURRENT VIRUS).

IT LOOKS TO BE WORKING OUT QUITE WELL FOR ITALY AS THE AVERAGE AGE OF ITS THOUSANDS OF NEWLY-DEAD PEOPLE IS 81 YEARS OLD!

HOW CONVENIENT.

MAYBE A LITTLE TOO CONVENIENT AS ITALY'S OLDER POPULATION CAN'T BE FUNDED BY ITS SMALLER, YOUNGER GENERATIONS WHICH ARE NOT HAVING THE BIG FAMILIES THEIR OLDER GENERATIONS DID.

IT'S HAPPENING THE WORLD OVER AS YOUNGER PEOPLE WHO GET THE VIRUS LIVE THROUGH IT IN MOST CASES - VERSES A HIGH DEATH RATE AMONG THE ELDERLY.

MY POINT IS, THE MORE A SOCIETY RELIES ON BIG-GOVERNMENT PROGRAMS TO SUPPORT OLDER GENERATIONS, THE GREATER INCENTIVE GOVERNMENTS HAVE TO SHAKE THEMSELVES FREE.

SO THERE IS AN INHERENT DANGER BUILT IN TO SOCIALIZED SOCIETIES - ESPECIALLY AS THEIR FUNDING DRIES UP.

MAYBE OUR FOUNDERS HAD THE BEST IDEA AFTERALL.  THEREIS NOTHING IN THE U.S. CONSTITUTION INDICATING THAT A PROPER ROLE OF GOVERNMENT IS TO TAKE CARE OF PEOPLE'S RETIREMENTS.

SOCIAL SECURITY IN THE UNITED STATES CAME ALONG IN 1937 AND WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A TEMPORARY PROGRAM TO HELP PEOPLE OUT OF THE GREAT DEPRESSION.

BUT AS RONALD REAGAN ONCE SAID: "THERE IS NOTHING SO PERMANENT AS A TEMPORARY GOVERNMENT PROGRAM."

I'M JUST SAYIN'...

ALSO, AFTER THIS IS OVER IT'S HIGHLY LIKELY YOU WILL SEE VERY FEW (IF ANY) HOMELESS PEOPLE LEFT IN AMERICA - AND MAYBE THE WORLD FOR THAT MATTER.

ARE THE 600,000+ HOMELESS IN AMERICA GOING TO BE ROUNDED UP (AFTER WE'RE ALL LOCKED DOWN IN OUR HOMES SO WE CAN'T SEE IT), AND SYSTEMATICALLY MURDERED AND THEIR BODIES INCINERATED?

IT SOUNDS UNTHINKABLE, BUT TAKE A LOOK ALREADY... WHERE ARE ALL THE HOMELESS PEOPLE NOW?  I HAVE NOTICED THERE ARE NOT NEARLY AS MANY AROUND.

WHERE ARE THEY???

THE EVIL WHICH COULD BE MASTERMINDING SUCH AN IDEA IS NOT ONLY FRIGHTENING FOR ITS TOTAL LACK OF MORALITY...

...BUT EVEN MORE FRIGHTENING IS JUST HOW MANY PEOPLE WOULD HAVE TO BE IN ON SUCH STATE-SPONSORED MURDER TO PULL IT ALL OFF.

I PRAY TO GOD MY FEARS ARE UNFOUNDED.

WATCH CAREFULLY TO SEE WHAT HAPPENS BY THE END OF ALL THIS:

COUNTRY AND STATE BORDERS ARE BEING CLOSED...

NATIONAL GUARD TROOPS BEING CALLED UP TO CALIFORNIA, WASHINGTON STATE AND NEW YORK (FOR STARTERS)...

FEMA PERSONEL BEING DISPATCHED THE NATION OVER...

COUNTY, STATE AND NATIONAL PARKS BEING CLOSED DOWN...

STATE CAMPGROUNDS BEING SHUT DOWN...

...LEAVING NOWHERE TO RUN IF YOU HAVE NO HOME.

IT SEEMS DESIGNED TO ME AND MAY GOD HELP US IF THAT'S THE CASE.

I'M JUST SAYIN'...

The answer is that the federal government has borrowed all of that trust fund money and spent it, exactly as Krauthammer asserted.  And the only way the trust fund can get some cash to pay Social Security benefits is if the federal government draws it from general revenues or borrows the money—which, of course, it can’t do because of the debt ceiling.

It's just that I've had these visions of dread regarding the homeless after I heard a woman official associated with King County say (on a Seattle radio station a few days ago) that the field hospitals being erected here are meant for the homeless population.

And yet, a mere few minutes later on that same radio station, the manager of a homeless mission in downtown Seattle (Union Gospel Mission) stated that there had not been ONE CASE of a homeless person in all of Washington State test positive for the Covid-19 virus.

Something seemed terribly incongrous to me about those two statements.
