Great to hear what Rand has to say now. Hopefully he'll run again in the next election cycle!

just as Scarborough suggested. It's never too early to start working on this with t-shirts, bumper stickers, etc.

Rand Paul 2020 Clear Vision for America

Then place an eye chart on the front, and some of Rand's stands on the back.

Speak up for those who cannot speak up for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly, defend the rights of the poor and the needy.~~ Prov.30: 8 & 9

that people could buy. So, your idea is very similiar.

I like your campaign slogan but I'm thinking that whatever slogan he chooses, if he runs again, should be something that projects power and that will really relate to most people.

No matter what one thinks about Trump and his quest for the Oval Office, you have to think that his slogan is masterful. "Making America Great Again" projects a very positive and winning attitude and people will always gravitate toward that.

Rand's slogan was good but not good enough in that regard.

I don't think either will catch on with the masses who only pay attention to slogans that get them excited.

Trump's personal image is about power but it's also about excitement and an in your face "can do" attitude. So, they needed a central theme, slogan, that would capture Trump's image, further project it, keep it simple and they found one.

But, a campaign slogan can only do so much. It's up to the candidate to take that slogan and run with it and make sure to connect their personal image to that slogan in a way that MOVES people over and over again. Establishing trust and credibility are very important but those factors pale when you are facing celebrity status, highly successful business transactions resulting in enormous personal wealth. Also, a candidate spewing just as enormous and bombastic rhetoric telling people exactly what they want to hear.

Trump's campaign zoned into what is really eating away at people and they designed a central campaign theme around that, starting off with the illegal alien anger that's been brewing for decades now. Unfortunately, Rand's campaign focused on breaking down the Washington Machine, the abondonment of the Constitution and Bill of Rights, crony capitalism, growing federal government control, spying on the American people and our insane and very costly foreign policy.

Though some voters, mainly Libertarians and some enlightened Republicans and Democrats, understand that these things are our real problems, the majority of the voters latched on to the more viseral campaign of Trump.

Should Rand run in 2020, I really believe that he will have to work on his perceived image of not being strong, a real fighter, and someone who will win. He will also have to work on his connection with what is truly bothering the voters the next time around instead of trying to lecture them on the things that they should be bothered by...things that we who support his ideas understand because we connect on a more, and to use Rand's words, "intellectual level" rather than a viseral one.

In the end, if those things aren't accomplished, then Rand will never get to where he needs to be in order to affect real change in the Oval Office, using his veto pen.
