and the delegates can simply vote their conscience ON THE FIRST BALLOT. It's called Unit Rule and which, according to Curly, has been the case for a very long time.

The Dems superdelegate deal is bad enough but I think that this Republican thuggery is just disgusting. Why bother to vote at all if this is what they are going to do? I hope this causes an all out war against the party if they try this crap.

Trump should tell the GOP, in the neocons’ favorite phrase, “All options are on the table.” And that includes the Samson Option.

Trump should tell the GOP that if it disrespects him and his followers, then he is prepared to do as did the biblical hero Samson, when, blinded and mocked by the Philistines, he pushed the pillars apart and brought the temple down upon the heads of them all.

The Republican establishment will understand that.

In other words Trump will end the GOP if they try their plan to block him, because if he pulls out and goes 3rd party, the GOP loses both houses of Congress.

So, months ahead of their convention, the RNC is changing the rules.

If Trump gets a whiff of this I would think he will go ballistic.

What? But..but..we're the government! We can change it anytime we want. Just go into the booth and "POOF" your wish is their command. Sorry, I guess I'm being cynical.

In fact it has (almost?!) become an admirable trait. That applies to both sides of the aisle as well. (All one needs to do is look who's running on the Democratic side, and what young Democrats think, not to mention the crazy coin tosses in Hillary's favor)
