Eliminate income tax and go straight consumption tax. Misusing our hard earned money on things we don't give the government consent to do, should be illegal. Can someone show me the law or statute that says Americans have to pay Personal Income Tax anyway?

The main point I took from this article is; "....the IRS’ so-called “up-front tax system. Under that system, the taxpayer is essentially removed from the tax preparation process because the IRS knows everything there is to know about your personal, business and financial affairs to the point where the agency prepares the return for you."

"Only well informed citizens can maintain a meaningful resistance against the powers seeking to destroy us. However, when we get to know the truth we must not let it stop there. Information proves its value only when it's used. Spread the message."

The most greivious part to me is what sort of foolishness, waste, and absolute criminal activity our money goes for: (my top 10)

1) Grants for studies the general population should not be paying for, such as the snail darter habitat study. Let those who care about such things fund it personally or start their own fundraisers.
2) Spending on unneeded items for the defense budget: Overpriced toilets and camo-gear that stands out are the two most glaring, but there are probably more .
3) The National Institute of Health, especially the anti-smoking campaign for the Commune project, which paid 100 dollars to smokers for `quitting`, then blogging about it. I`m all for quitting smoking, but intrinsic incentives, like health, relationships, and fitness goals are more likely to succeed that monetary ones. More questionable actions by the NIH can be found here:https://www.rd.com/culture/wasteful-government-spending-examples/
4) Maintaining old buildings, and equipment (https://www.cheatsheet.com/money-career/crazy-ways-the-government-wastes-money.html/) when they could be either given to the states or sold.
5) Continuously publishing the Federal Register: cost? 1 Million a year!
6) IHOP grants
7) Improper Medicaid payments- to the tune of more than $142.7 billion since 2009.((i`m all for caring for the elderly in need, but paying for mistakes, fraud and improper payments is an injustice)
8) the IRS - paying for storage space costs (close to 1 million a year) is simply the least egregious. Committing crimes such as targeting libertarian and conservative groups for audits, ( http://metrovoicenews.com/irs-admits-it-targeted-conservative-groups-during-obama/) and then paying the victims of these crimes from everyone *but* the guilty parties` pockets,(https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-tax-conservative/justice-department-settles-with-conservative-groups-over-irs-scrutiny-idUSKBN1CV1TY) adds insult to injury. Such crimes should not have been committed in the first place,(injury) and to force taxpayers to pay for it rather than the perpetrators just adds to the injustice! Strange deals and going after groups that leaned away from Learner`s views should cause us to consider a `kinder, gentler solution` for funding the government. (https://www.forbes.com/sites/robertwood/2017/04/18/lois-lerner-former-irs-official-remains-relevant-on-tax-day/)
9) Aid to Dependent Dictators/ the border wall: Why, as a Representative Republic, would we do something so opposed to what we stand for, freedom?! https://www.businessinsider.com/foreign-aid-dilemma-dictators-on-our-dole-2011-3 , Also, why, as a nation that supposedly honors the rule of law and property rights would we build a wall (to supposedly keep people out, -when everyone should acknowledge that it could be used to keep people in as well, as the Berlin wall was...) on land that does not belong to the Federal government? A better solution can be found, and already has: GoFundMe for the wall: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WtwCFOKl7Lw (here`s the the GO Fund Me link if you want it)https://www.gofundme.com/TheTrumpWall

10) Grants to abortion providers such as Planned (un) Parenthood! This tops my list for numerous reasons: They are engaging in activities that are morally reprehensible, from covering up sex trafficking crimes,https://www.nationalreview.com/2017/01/planned-parenthood-child-sex-trafficking-crimes-still-unreported/, to covering up women`s deaths and not providing proper care to women in an emergency: (http://thehill.com/blogs/pundits-blog/healthcare/316162-women-deserve-better-than-planned-parenthood-i-know-i-worked ), to leaving babies still alive after the abortion to die: (https://www.alllivesequal.org/born-alive-and-left-to-die/). With groups like Planned Parenthood receiving over 1.5 BILLION, this would be my first item to end funding to, for moral, scientific, and Constitutional reasons. As Thomas Jefferson said of another issue: "To compel a man (I add, or woman) to furnish funds for the propagation (communication, if you prefer) of ideas he disbelieves and abhors is si nful and tyrannical"
