My Not So Supportive Response To a Ted Cruz Email To Me...

pawnstorm12 Fri, 03/11/2016 - 16:27

After receiving an email seeking support for Ted Cruz from the King County, WA Republican Party, I returned the favor with the following response pointing out the utter hypocrisy of his campaign.

I wrote...

Ted Cruz CLAIMS to be a "strict Constitutionalist" but he picks and chooses WHICH parts of the Constitution he adheres to.

For example: It says in the Constitution that you must be a "Natural Born Citizen" to be President of the United States.

Ted laughs off anyone who questions the fact that he was born in Canada to a father who was not a U.S. citizen and a mother who was living in Canada, working in Canada and voting in Canada.

At the time he was born, Canada did not recognize dual citizenship at birth.

Furthermore at the time of our founding, the men writing the Constitution were using the English definition of "Natural Born Citizen" at that time which meant being born in a British colony, sovereign British land or land under rule of the British monarchy.

They used this idea to define a Natural Born Citizen as it related to their newly formed nation; The United States of America.

Canada has never been an American colony or sovereign land or territory.

So it is clear that no matter how much Ted Cruz DESIRES to be a U.S. president, the sad fact for him is (PER THE VERY CONSTITUTION HE CLAIMS TO UPHOLD), he is not eligible to be a U.S. president.

But even if Ted somehow wins the eligibility argument, he has at least THREE other MAJOR Constitutional problems...

1. Ted supports our government giving away foreign aid (welfare) of around 60 BILLION taxpayer dollars EVERY YEAR AND GROWING.
But WHERE in the U.S. Constitution does it authorize our government to give away EVEN ONE PENNY of American tax dollars to ANY foreign nation???
This is a TRAITOROUS and UN-CONSTITUTIONAL ACT by our congress and our presidents.

2. Ted supports ANTI-AMERICAN organizations (and treaties) such as the International Monetary Fund (IMF), World Bank, United Nations, NAFTA, CAFTA etc, which steals untold BILLIONS of dollars every year from the United States and re-distributes it to loser countries the world over.
These are ALSO traitorous acts by our government which usurp American sovereignty and move us closer to a One World Government.

3. Ted names Israel as a country he pledges allegiance to and he has even said that "anyone who does not stand with Israel does not stand with the United States."
THIS IS A TRAITOROUS STATEMENT.
THERE IS ONLY ONE nation which American citizens have ANY obligation to swear allegiance to and that is THE UNITED STATES of AMERICA! NOT ANY OTHER NATION.
Any U.S. politician or elected official who pledges allegiance to ANY other nation, is a TRAITOR to the United States - ESPECIALLY someone who is running for the highest office in the land.

Americans have come to accept this sort of misguided thinking from most of today's politicians, BUT WE DO NOT accept it from someone who CLAIMS TO BE A STRICT CONSTITUTIONALIST - such as Ted Cruz does.

I'm sure Ted won't address these issues because that might expose him as a hypocrite for claiming to believe in our Constitution - but not doing the HARD WORK of actually standing up for what you claim to believe.

Senator Cruz could learn a lot from reading the works of Dr. Ron Paul, who was a TRUE Constitutionalist and American Statesman of the highest order.

This article about, Antonin Scalia, will expose why the majority of so-called Constitutional lawyers are just as destructive to the Constitution as progressives who believe it to be it to be a living document? In actuality, these traitors may be worse, by their vial deception of Americans who want to restore the Republic?

According to "the rules" Ted cruz can't play ball. But he does anyway, WOW, like I needed another reason to believe in "the rules". The world is a stage.

Interesting point you make "the men writing the Constitution were using the English definition of "Natural Born Citizen" at that time which meant being born in a British colony, sovereign British land or land under rule of the British monarchy"

Considering Canada was and is still in the British Commonwealth, this may be precisely why he considers his status of natural born citizen is valid.

...regarding the "Natural Born Citizen" rule - not England.

They were just using the present day definition of what natural-born meant.

Maybe if Canada had ever been an American colony or territory, Cruz would have an argument.

The founders never would have considered anyone having been born in a BRITISH colony to be eligible to be president in America.
