Delete A New Forum Topic Post?

Is is possible to delete a duplicate new forum topic post after it's been posted? I don't see any way to do that currently. I've been able to delete a duplicate, replying, comment to someone's new post but am unable to do so with a topic that I create.

It also seems that the software is still messed up concerning new topic posts because I continue to see duplicate posts made by other members, as well. But, I'm wondering if sometimes this happens due to "operator errors" by some of us?
