Disappointed with Rand's decision, deeply...and somewhat defeated.

Well, the media got their twisted wish in Paul’s recent resignation from his candidacy for president. And it really solidifies what they’ve been saying all along. Rand is not electable…at least for president. I understand that liberty and the message of freedom is not to be expected at the hands of any one individual, but why drop out after finishing in 5th after the very first voters come out of the woodwork? How disappointed all those college students must be in clamoring and standing at the side of someone who immediately and subtly admits defeat after spending countless hours spreading the message he just omitted from the debate. I just do not understand how such a fiery message is not deemed relevant enough for Paul to continue with his months-long bid for presidency. I am truly saddened this day.

I can just hear my family now, “you should listen to Sanders…better vote for Trump now…it was inevitable”. Blah! I’m done. I will not vote for anyone else, period. I thought liberty was worth fighting for, at least beyond the first state! What about the other 49 states and all the supporters who were eager to hear more about liberty, to share liberty with those they love and quite possibly break through the propaganda to earn Paul more of what he was seeking with his college tour: support?

I am truly crushed by this untimely news. He just enthusiastically stated he had defeated four establishment governors…and then he drops out two days later? And I apologize in advance for venting at and upon the platform of so many fellow liberty-lovers, but damn it! I was starting to feel that Rand truly had a legitimate chance to reach the ebb and come out atop the tide. I will be writing him in as I vowed to do, whether I agree with his decision to leave the race or not.

Peace and Love to all.

I think the world was a lot more ready for Ron this time around (as we can see in the support for Trump and Sanders) but Rand played politics and started to cozy up to the establishment to some degree.  It felt bizarre to me because I can't imagine Rand would ever be so naive as to believe the establishment would ever trust him or treat him well.  I still am not convinced he was that naive so I'm assuming there's more to this whole thing.

Honestly, I regret donating $200 to his campaign (I donated a lot more to his dad's 2012 run).  It was money poorly spent.  Rand did improve in the debates but he was an afterthought throughout.

In short, the political process doesn't feel very worthy of our time to me.  I think we're better off educating ourselves on liberty and trying to spread that around as much as possible.  I do think there are media outlets that are worthy of donating to (both time and effort).  One example is corbettreport.com.  Another is NewsBud.com (basically an expansion of BoilingFrogsPost.com that will debut later in 2016 but start collecting donations on valentine's day).

As for my vote in the general election, I'll probably vote for Gary Johnson.  I don't see myself voting in the primary anymore.  I have some friends who are for Cruz and Trump but I don't believe either is what this country needs.  I keep hearing the next president might elect 3 SCOTUS judges so it feels important to get the best possible president (amongst the horrible options we're given).  But I don't think it really matters as politics has been so corrupted anyway that TPTB will figure out how to get what they need out of the SCOTUS (e.g. via NSA surveillance blackmail).

I guess it's good we have Rand trying to win back his seat in the Senate and Greg Brannon fighting for a seat in the Senate.  Both would be good to have.  I'm not all that enthusiastic about donating at this point though.  (maybe a few $$ to Brannon).

That means no money and if he would have kept going big debt, Rand doesn't do debt.

Rand looked to see if he could continue on and have a pathway to a win.

i want him to continue on as much as anybody, but Rand didn't want to waste our money on something he calculated he couldn't win.  I appreciate that ...it's not the last of Rand

He is effectively a third party candidate in his own party.  I agree with his move.  It took all day to realize it but at least now he can push some good stuff through the Senate and maybe gRandstand while the enemies are out promoting their failed campaigns.

Campaign for liberty my friend, we can certainly use your talent and passion.

Are you fighting for Rand or are you fighting for Liberty?
Stupid question...

Did Paul say he ended the presidential race? NO!
Did Paul say he won't accept the nomination in a brokered convention? NO!
Did Paul say you should waste your vote to somebody else? NO!
Did Paul say to stay at home and not vote for him? NO!

Who decides in the end, where your vote lands - Paul or YOU?

Phone your liberty minded friends in NH *not* to throw away their vote
and stay the course of Liberty and vote for Rand!

Imagine Rand ending in 3rd or 4th place despite suspending his campaign!

Trump supporters might feel defeated just like you, because he did not
turn out as the winner as expected and therefor not show up in droves.

I understand Cruz is not as popular in NH as in Iowa.

Christie is expected to bite a piece of the cake and it more likely
will be from the current frontrunners' part.

In the end - if you all succeed in mobilizing the Paul supporters -
NH might be the best place for a big surprise.

I don't care if Rand won Iowa. I was pleased with his performance there. He received more votes than four establishment governors and almost as many votes as Clinton and Sanders combined. I trust his judgment and am optimistic about NH. I am voting for Rand regardless...there was never an alternative, just like his father.

This is strange and untimely, which leads me ultimately to believe things are just beginning.

Peace to you and thank you for putting me in my place to an extent. We all need that every once in awhile. Onward to NH!

I am not done with this fight! Never mind the potential coming headline... "Paul bots defeat Paul by not showing up!'

Some thoughts...

As of last night things were a big GO! Especially for NH and Nev.! Spoke with campaign staff heading up several states... but have not been able to reach yet this AM. 'Was the system hacked', was my first thought. Rand's message was a campaign speech, full of reasons to run though last, but it was not a reasonable explanation for the sudden change! If the reality is so different for the campaign, then the reality needs to be shared.

The good news side of this is.... it ain't over till it's over! His campaign is apparently only suspended, not withdrawn, which under most situations means the same thing... except one can pick up again!

He is on the ballot in every state! He is most likely a legal write-in candidate in every state, without much effort! It might become time to White-out Congress & Write-in Liberty! Someone already has both those websites!

Another possibility I thought of months ago when writing about Donald Buffoon Ross the Trumpet Perot, is a trick to see who is really running just to obfuscate Rand... drop out and count the other fallout's! Then jump back in! That would expose the whole fraud of Trump and the rest of the Neocons!

It is slightly puzzling... let's wait to hear a real REASON for giving up the fight just into the first skirmish! If one is forthcoming that is!

I for one, am planning a comeback for the liberty movement! We must not take this any harder than as if we had lost in the end anyway... we must see this as a signal to the grassroots to take in hand our own fight... write-in whom we wish! It would be interesting to see if another less major party, like the Constitution or Libertarian party, suddenly nominated Rand despite his wishes... and he appeared on the ballot in every state!

Wow! There are numerous possibilities for those who think in reality, in hope, in action, unlike those 'who think in slogans and talk in bullets'!

It is possible Rand is out of touch even with the reality that the country may look very different in a few months, or even in a few weeks, once tyrants are given free reign, and no liberty candidates are breathing down their necks.

It must be us, the grassroots, who start breathing down their necks folks. The GOP will now start to realize what a mess they have made of their country... all due their stupidity and willingness to throw the constitution literally into the dust bin of history.

Like Ron Paul said of the Committee Chair, "it is an anachronism, old fashioned, we don't do that anymore." Most of the GOP thinks the same in not thinking at all!

That is the biggest elephant in the room and may still be my speech at caucus! Yes, I plan on going! It will be interesting to see how many GOPer's now don't show up! Typically it was few and fewer, until the Paul era!

That is another strategy in which we could engage... show up and nominate Rand anyway! After all... I did not hear Rand say he would not accept the nomination!

So Santorum just dropped out.  No surprise there, but why didn't he caucus night?

What was even more interesting was that he endorsed Cruz.  Cruz!?!  Didn't Rubio, Huckabee, and Santorum create a coalition to oppose Cruz for his libertarianish views.  Why didn't he endorse Rubio.  Something strange is afoot folks, very, very strange.

Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

Because Santorum "the fake" (Ron Paul 2012)
knows Cruz' libertarianish views are fake?

thinkers in my life but YOU really win the crown. I think, if I were in the position to do this and was about 30 yrs old I would definitely do that. Go nominate, speak for him and win the delegates. WHOA! That would be awesome. When do you hear from the campaign? I got an email thanking us for contributions and it ain't over for Liberty but that he was going to concentrate serving Kentuky.

I went to Popular Liberty looking for silver education and I got GOLD. Thank YOU Question more. https://youtu.be/3eA4OHW8v2k https://youtu.be/mgm8qYEFKwc
