gullibility and ignorance. And after yet a second cycle of results and establishment winners mirroring last cycle's elections, after all that these people have seen and heard about the state of the country that they have complained about, they once again choose more of the very same people that are part of the problems. And ones that have clearly stated they intend to further compound them.

The vast majority of American voters and who they choose to vote for year after year while complaining about the state of things only affirms the old adage:

"You can't fix stupid."

I called it a few weeks back and said Rand wouldn't win, nor will he get the nomination and explained why. You just can't fight the TV News Media and American's TV mentality, and Rand does not have the MSM's nod or approval. And so far it has unfolded just about how I said it would. And it will continue to.

1 - Rand received 8,481 of the 186,753 cast, which is importantly 4.54129% or 5%. The media (CNN) like to call it 4%, even though our use of ratios and percentages are rounded up from the mid-tenths place. Anthing they can do they will. Do you feel differently about 4% vs. 5%? I do.

2 - Paul received 9.6% in Johnson County, 8.3% in Story County, a high-seven in Jefferson and some sixes to boot; topping Carson in Johnson, Muscatine, Jefferson, 11 votes behind in Story and 48 votes so in Scott County. Rand received approx. 1,500 votes less than the two LEADING Democratic candidates combined.

Please...appreciate what has happened. We are advancing.

The system is bought out, I have come to realize this as a 26 year old. With that said, I am excited that more and more people are waking up each and every year. I remember 4 years ago talking about Ron Paul, they called me crazy for supporting him. Now they sit back and listen to what I say. Do you see the crowds response after Ron and Rand made their comments in the debate back in 2012 and this year? We need to quit worrying about who is the president. I nation is made up of the people and the beliefs of the people. The Presidential candidate is useless and a waste of energy. They have the power of the television in their hands and that's all that matters. What we have in your hands is TRUTH and solutions to the problems we face. There are tons of people that are waking up to this system. I mean when microsoft said they were tallying the vote, instantly light bulbs went off in peoples heads. 4 years ago, people would not care. I talk about liberty and freedom any chance that I get. People are beginning to understand it and some people throw up a brick wall. Do not waste your energy trying to convince that person, just move on and talk to the next. Freedom and Liberty will eventually take back over, but we the people need to continue to do our part. As Ron has said before "create brush fires in their mind". Peace to all my brothers and sisters. Lets quit getting angry over polls and the media not giving our movement credit. The fact is, they are not going to give us credit and our "man" will never be president. That is like hoping your wife will stop bitching at you for watching sports...lol....jk ladies, but seriously, lets keep spreading the word and putting our energy in waking people out of the deep sleep! Later Guys and Gals!

Thought about it a bit more. While Iowa was disappointing and I was hoping for a close 4th in Iowa, Paul went from being excluded from the debate less than weeks ago to beating out heir-apparent Jeb, Christie, and Kasich.

If the debate field thins a little for the next debate, and if Paul is included, I don't necessarily view Iowa as a death knell. If the race remains tight, Paul certainly can perform well in the Western states as well as Maine in my opinion. After all, evangelicals Huckabee and Santorum won Iowa the last two goes, and it didn't quite work out for them.

To me though, it's still a bit of a head scratcher how any former Ron supporter could swing Ted's way. Actions speak louder than words, and Ted has given me little faith in his meaningless rhetoric.

They might support pieces of it.  They might want to support someone they think will win.  Ron had a platform for over two cycles to bring a lot of people together.  He didn't run against Ted Cruz, Donald Trump, or Bernie Sanders who take pieces of the liberty movements grievances and roll them into other ideas.  Youth pissed at crony capitalists might support free college for instance. And evangelicals that supported Ron might think Cruz is more their style because he talks about God.  And we have all seen people from Alex Jones to Lew Rockwell cheering on Trump.  They have effectively turned the internet against those of us that think Rand is the heir to his fathers political revolution.  Its like the media and the liberty movement is attacking Rand Paul supporters of the liberty movement.

So if you think about it like a person with no strong foundation it isn't hard to understand.  I thought most of these people had strong principle before this race again.  They continue to prove me wrong.  Also Ted got almost double the winning vote of 2012, an all time record in Iowa,  and there was almost 70K more people that voted in Iowa in this year than 2012.  It was basically twice as big meaning brand new voters turned out.

Look what's trending.  His fickle support might not be able to handle the shame of 2nd place.  I'm predicting the decline of Trump has started.  Who will pick up his support?

For now i will say i was hoping for at least fifth but we got killed on percents because turnout was HUGE! I have never seen so many people coming out to caucus. The fact that Cruz won is a miracle for all of us. The Trump people came, showed up and walked out. They didnt stick around. We got delegates amd central commitee chairs from the reports i heard. The media has beaten us down for sure. But Trump was the first loser. His campaign is in trouble. His people will decline. We must stay the course as Rubio is rising. Bush is officially toast.

... the rise of serfdom. And serfdom begets fascism. One way or another the people of America are descending into Serfdom from which they will cry out for Fascism. It is the untimely birth of the FED spawned tyranny.

Few will drop out. The ones who stay in have the FED at their backs! They stay in the race only as smoke hangs in the room. It is needed to distract from the single anti-FED threat.

There are but two candidates my friends... Paul vs un-Paul!

Every event, speech, media fraud, caucus report, jockeying of position and faux poll report magically gracing the news... is for but one goal... stopping the anti FED Paul! Every sound bite, every threat of binding candidates, every bully pulpit vote report, is designed to obfuscate.

Remember, every binding rule can be changed by the delegates on the floor of any state or national convention!

The pursuit of this fight is paramount, now more than ever! They know it! So should we!

But I think you aren't seeing the opportunity in this situation.  If Trump took the lead tonight, trust me when I say he was going all the way.  Somehow Cruz got people to show up in masse.  It was probably the largest turn out in Iowa caucus history, it was only second to Trump.  The fact that this happened has given us a second chance whereas I think the celebrity of Trump was going to wipe us out.  I saw it in the eyes of the Republican leadership and faithful that hung around to get elected to offices tonight.  They were stunned that Trump won at their precinct.  They looked literally hopeless.  The Trump people were precisely the voters that you imagine who chant USA USA with shear ignorance.  They were certainly the greater evil.  Historically the evangelicals don't translate to NH.  This is the opportunity to completely throw this election into contention.  If someone totally different takes NH and it isn't Trump, we might have a race on our hands.  We will thrive in the chaos if we choose to fight.  Please take a step back see the field.  It is already starting to shrink.  Huckabee has bowed out, I think Santorum might go tomorrow along with Fiorina and maybe even Carson.  I see Rubio winning in New Hampshire, Bush will step aside in that event.  Rubio will start to get Koch money and he becomes the establishment choice at that point.  He is the real threat on the horizon, likely why Rand focused on him so much.

Realistically, your vote counts more than any of ours. Good news if we did recive delegates and central committee chairs.

When I saw Rubio and Cruz with the big numbers it was a wave of sadness.  Had to bathe my self in some music to wash out the bad...

Y'all can say what you want about Nystrom but he was right about us. His yin and yang post that time about summed up tonight. We are the the future. I like Rand but I don't think it's his time. The American Revolution took hundred if not thousands of years to come upon the world. And even that required as much luck as it did knowledge or skill. As for now, it appearswe are on the slide back to darkness, have been for nearly 100 years and even if our light is small someday the light will win again... We, however small or large we may be, hold the hope. And I could be wrong, night is always darkest before dawn. Keep at it folks!

Rand Paul is our only voice on the National stage right now.  He's the only one with a liberty anti war message.  Regardless of whether he wins or doesn't win, we need him in there for as long as possible.  Once his election is over, our voices will be silenced on the mainstream media.

So yes this is about making our own lives more secure and happy, its about reaching new people, and its about educating ourselves and others on why liberty is the best choice for everyone.

I support Rand because he supports us.

People are listening to him....they just may not be acting on it yet.  But seeds have been planted all over America.

Agreed on most points. Other than I don't care if they hear me anymore. Don't get me wrong I stand with Rand. If people ask me about the elections I say Rand. When this Syria crap broke out and Rand was calling for sanity, I posted on DP about my war experience with James Foley in Afghanistan.I ended up putting it in two local papers.. I got the headlines at DP for two days...Got handshakes and "ata boy" around town. My veteran voice was silenced when I got off the plane. However my garden gets more comments than that ever did. Rand may or may not be the man, but people believe what they see, even if all they see is the news. Rand has a place. He helps build the foundation for change. And I hope he sticks around. But I don't put much faithinto our political system.hell Ron Paul got cheated...why would Rand be any different...the talk all sounds good but Your neighbors need to see liberty in action at home. Gardens. Trade. Life. Peace. What I mean is, I could tell them all day about the evils I'd seen in the world....The "conspiracies" that are true.Or I can be the change....that's all I meant by my post above. Hell, even Adam kokesh seems to get it now....he's building an earthship. Haha  I think this is where Nystrom went in his thought process with DP and PL.

their best interest. I think everyone knows that.

Change only comes from the people.  So, while my garden and hydroponics system is a cool thing to share, and may actually influence a few people, its not enough.  People won't ever learn enough through osmosis.  Without history and understanding about fundamental workings of government, media, and medical system they will never understand why things are bad.    That's why we are on this endless cycle of misdirected blame.  Our schools and media have facilitated hypnotic ignorance.

The power is and always was within the people.  We just have to get them to see their power and clue them in on who's really to blame.  I get why you no longer care if people hear you.  I just think without a basic knowledge of the  actual world we live in, no amount of good examples of liberty living is going to get people to stand their ground.

Wasn't he supposed to win in a landslide with all that free media coverage?  And, didn't he say he wasn't here to be in 2nd place or something to that effect?

He seems to be topped out...or am I wrong?
