...hard on the liver and kidneys in the doses prescribed to help with pain.

I wish Rand and the meddling republican party would stay the hell out of social issues like this.

I'm disappointed with Rand making this a focus of his senate position.

I liked RON PAUL'S opinion to end the failed drug war and get the government the hell out of it.

NO one should be in prison for any drug use or possession reasons unless they committed a real crime like theft, murder etc and tried to blame it on drugs.

Look, if people want to be idiots and allow themselves to get hooked on a substance, then that's their personal problem with self-control and bad life choices.

LIKE RON PAUL SAID; "IN A FREE SOCIETY PEOPLE ARE ALSO FREE TO BE IDIOTS."

In other words you can't legislate out idiocy and bad life decisions.

Unless you want an even BIGGER, oppressive and liberty-violating government and nanny state like the one we basically have already.

BAD MOVE RAND...

Please stick to substantive issues like...

The billions we give away annually in foreign aid,
Our endless wars and occupations,
A rogue CIA which answers not to the congress,
The dirty IRS,
The Federal Reserve

There are PLENTY OF LIBERTY issues Rand can spend his time on instead of typical GOP meddling into our social lives.

He is working with the system we're currently in and he didn't seem to suggest any new regulation/litigation. He proposed to inform doctors that are on the wrong side of the bell curve so they know they're over prescribing.. unless I just heard what I wanted to.

The problem as I see it with the current system is doctors carelessly prescribe these drugs without giving sufficient information of the dangers/addiction to their patients. Then thanks to the 'healthcare' system they go to the pharmacy and get a script filled for just a few dollars while the excess is being covered with our tax dollars. Meanwhile big pharma is giving kick backs to doctors and free samples to encourage them to prescribe more. All while the patients suffer tremendously.

I went through 3 knee surgeries in the last 2 years and they handed that shit to me like candy. I stuck it out without taking it yet they were telling me to take 4 every 2-3 hours; INSANE. I honestly think that's enough to overdose if not become incredibly addicted very quickly.

Anyways, I agree with you in principle but we can't burn down the system all at once as it will take incremental change. Rand's suggestion didn't add any laws to the books. Nice to see you Pawnstorm.. I always appreciate your strict adherence to Liberty.
