Wow! Rand, tell us how you REALLY feel.

Rand Paul's annual airing of grievances Wednesday to mark the fictional holiday of Festivus took on the tone of the Republican presidential race. I guess he was out of bubble gum (Roddy Piper reference).

He threw some light shade on Texas Sen. Ted Cruz's country of birth (Canada):

@RandPaul

My friend @tedcruz has still not pledged to issue exec order declaring Canadian "bacon" is not real bacon. Makes me suspicious.

Maybe he was saving it for a better time since he's mostly gunning for Trump & Rubio? I was left wondering why Rand didn't bring up Bridgegate at the 1st run in with Christie in the 1st debate. Now I'm glad he saved it - as it couldn't have been used more perfect in an analogy with reckless emotion and nuclear arsenal.

Since there's a history there between Rand & Ted, part of me hopes that they formed a secret strategic alliance before all of this and decided to play "Good cop - Bad cop", where as if one of them received the Ron Paul treatment, at the very least, the other one got in by saying "the right things" that TPTB wanted to hear. In reality though, it's more likely the other way around - Cruz has said some things that Liberty lovers want to hear, and he is just the right mixture of neo-con for them. I feel that both Trump and Cruz have stolen some of Rand's possible votes from last year by saying some similar things AFTER Rand had said them.

All that being said, there was a full list somewhere else, where classy Rand took a couple of shots at himself and his hair. But I'm glad he's getting his message across.

I STILL STAND WITH RAND!
