What Ted Cruz said behind closed doors

Ron Aldof Fri, 12/25/2015 - 22:10

"A secret tape from a New York fundraiser could mean trouble for a candidate selling authenticity."

Ted Cruz changes spots according to whom he is trying to appease? Good or bad news for the outsider that is on the inside.

"In a recording provided to POLITICO, Cruz answers a flat “No” when asked whether fighting gay marriage is a “top-three priority,” an answer that pleased his socially moderate hosts but could surprise some of his evangelical backers." (audio on linked page)

"While Cruz’s private comments to a more moderate GOP audience do not contradict what the Republican Texas senator has said elsewhere, they demonstrate an adeptness at nuance in tone and emphasis that befits his Ivy League background. Indeed, the wording looks jarring when compared with the conservative, evangelical rhetoric he serves at his rallies, which have ballooned in size and excitement as he has moved to the front of the pack in Iowa."

Making comparisons to Reagan campaign. Seems they are hyping Cruz thru January. Keep hearing this Cruz ad where he repeats over and over again I will kill terrorists.  Rush listeners will be pleased.  That's probably the actual name of the ad.

Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

Considering his connections to Bush and his wife working for GS......How could he possibly be a liberty candidate at all. I know there is a lot more evidence that sinks his liberty street cred but that's more then enough for me.

And I agree with you no real liberty minded voter will ever vote for him anyway.

Meh ... I don't think it's going to hurt him much at all really .. I mean we have the majority of Republican voters going for trump ... cmon .. it's not really going to hurt him at all.

I've known for quite some time that ted cruz was a neocon at heart. He is playing to libertarian hearts but won't fool real ones. I knew this for a while and some people didn't believe me .. lol
