Sen. Rand Paul Speaks Out Against the PATRIOT Act - May 31, 2015

An incredibly POWERFUL speech by a fired up Rand Paul. Not only is he driving home his points, but his passion strikes a chord with all of us out here who are frustrated with the erosion and governmental encroachment of our basic rights. He is pointing out the illegality of the patriot act, specifically regarding the NSA massive data collection.

He also reminds us that this type of broad based warrant issuing was exactly what the Revolutionary War fought against. Moreover, he challenges citizens with some pointed questions. Paul asked, "Are we going to so blithely give up our freedom? Are we going to so blindly go along and take it? Well, I’m not going to take it anymore. I don’t think the American people are going to take it anymore.” He's right! We're not!

Finally, he calls out Barack Obama declaring Obama started this type of spying on American citizens unilaterally without a vote from congress, and he could end it at anytime. That Obama's wringing of hands and saying "Gee I wish I could do something" is (to put it nicely) disingenuous.

I wholeheartedly thank you Rand Paul. I am not from Kentucky, but you, Sir, represent me.
