PopularLiberty

I accidentally clicked on PL just now and saw (amongst other things) the paragraph below. Not sure why Michael is happy to see new projects when he closed the most popular of this type. Is more necessarily better btw? He scattered everyone though hopefully they'll all join here.

I am happy to see so many new projects underway, cultivating the seeds of Liberty across the web! The list of those projects, compiled by our friend Irene Bordoni, can be found here: PL Spin-off Compilation

Popular Liberty turned into a mess and Michael played the blame game.  Just like any organization is a reflection of the guys at the top (michael).  It failed because he got disinterested and thought of himself as better than the rest of the liberty community.  Now he is trying to take credit for all the other venues that are being created.  He said himself "I had to push you guys out of the nest so you can fly".  His ego got in the way.  Many of us could have made websites better than his.  We weren't there because he was better than us we were there to be organized as one instead of disorganized as many.  He alone is responsible for the fall of both the dailypaul and Popular Liberty.  I don't blame him though some of us are just not cut out to lead.  Look at RonPaulforums it is doing just fine and has always done well (again a reflection of the guys at the top).  Michael just wasnt the right guy for the job he got weak

for some reason, navigation there was difficult for me.

A man who chops his own wood is warmed by it twice

i agree it was more difficult.  Harder on the eyes as well.  The more time you spend there the easier it gets though

because he was tired of being the one to run 'the most popular of it's type' and is glad others have taken the reigns? I don't see why he wouldn't want liberty sites to succeed just because he after almost 9 years was tired of running his site. It has always been entertaining to me how some people wanted just a few people to shoulder the responsibility despite him saying time and time again he wanted a change and now some people are confused as to why he is happy others are doing their own thing. Let it rest. The man did more than you will ever do for the cause and now he is happy others are stepping up why is that so confusing?

...he could've sold the site or let someone else run it.  There were offers.

and he decided not to and that was his decision and life goes on and other people get to do their own thing now. Why are some still bitter about someone else doing what they want to with their life?

He's happy to see new sites cultivating the seeds of liberty?  He single-handedly set all that back in one fell swoop.  Instead of people "cultivating the seeds of liberty", we're scrambling to find another site to replace his.  Best case ACTP will reach the heights PL/DP reached (I know I will do my part to make that the case).  But we'd be trying to reach a level that ALREADY existed (that Michael decided to tear down).  If he cares about what he said he cared about then he wouldn't have done what he did (mind you that doesn't mean he needed to either run and/or own PL.  He could've sold it or had someone else run it).
