Are they talking smack again in that secret back room at PL? That one conversation about how to embed images and videos was the last straw!

Then Crabby had the nerve of posting his personal dilemma back there, so the whole entire planet (except China, North Korea, France, Iran, Syria, Cuba, Tunisia, Vietnam, Turkmenistan, Burma, Saudi Arabia.........etc.) wouldn't see it.

I'm glad you guys reconciled crabby. : )

But that was the final last straw, and then I left PL, after it crashed, and after repeated attempts to log back in, and then the front page Christmas Crash Merry Christmas page popped up. :(

On what brilliant thing MN did?  I spent a lot of time on PL.  I would like to know if something great happened before the site died.

I read the thread below and need to clarify a few things about my stand and credibility concerning my statement and accusation about a Backroom at the PL. Timeline is important in this debate for it to be in proper context and understood as justified.

When I made my stand on the principle of equal fairness the PL had just been turned on for general membership login. Guess what I find? I find a "Group" called the "Old Guard" within the forum that (at that time) required a completely separate login to access it. I was already wondering about what future division of the community could result from having this separate login protected forum. 

Michael absolutely DID make the statement that this "Group" would be for the original DP'rs to go hang out separate from the main board and the new membership coming aboard the new Ark. Well this second login "Gate" concept struck me as wrong, partial and unfair to any new members that might not have access to this "Special" group or to any other members that might be denied equal access some some reason.

So...at that "particular time" in the game I did indeed have a legitimate question and argument about possible unfair segregation that could result from this login gated forum. One thing I do understand is human nature...and the DP was not a prime example of common courtesy and the suggestive influence on Michael from certain members was also a serious a problem at times.

I witnessed many many unfair actions that resulted from members influencing Michael with content that they had dishonestly twisted around and taken out of context just because they had pure hate for a certain member. In Michael's defense...He just didn't have time to go read a weeks worth of debate and judge the situation fairly and missed who actually STARTED the argument by purposely baiting, pushing buttons and disrespecting the accused member.

The result? the member "defending" himself or herself from the maliciousness got the boot! Very wrong and backwards in my book. Just like LibertyUserName is trying to do here. Whom I suspect as being my old Friend Thomas who also likes to send me direct very "nice" emails in attempts to push my buttons. :)

So...unfortunately he trusted the judgment of a few members that called him friend, unfortunately these trusted friends were not being completely honest with him. Knowing this influence as true and factual I saw potential problems coming about from the concept of a limited access area of the forum. So I questioned this concept very strongly and know what? At that "particular time" it was a very just and fair question and stance of principle if one truly cares about and respects other human beings as equals. (am I wrong? Do we practice what we preach?)

Although I did not participate, I was coming and reading every now and then and logging in once in awhile so I am not ignorant to what was going on. Shortly later I noticed that the Old Guard "Group" concept had faded away. A hidden room was used but a separate login was not needed to access it from what I understand...never cared to go look because I had pretty much already decided I was done participating there. But this concept I can support and find as useful...a login gate segregating a community I wanted no part of, No integrity in it at all.

I had realized it was bound for eventual self destruction. Fairness down, Animosity up...just a matter of time...

I'm not sure what this was about at all lol and it's honestly more than a little weird lol but nothing fishy is going on guys.
