Warning! The Two Aisles of the Church of the Police State have two new bills.

Once again, the two wings of the police state are trying to fly another drone of a bill over our heads. Congress passed the National Defense Education Act (1958) and the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (1965) that gave Congress the power to obtain certain confidential information.

"Although the legislation claims to protect the privacy of the data, evidence already exists that the U.S. Department of Education’s data security system is riddled with vulnerabilities. Former Rep. Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah, concluded that “almost half of the population of the United States of America has their personal information sitting in this database, which is not secure.”

They are now trying to pass, (introduced by Paul Ryan, of course, (R) and in the Senate, (D) Patty Murray :P), the Foundations for Evidence Based Policy Making Act (HR417, S2046); setting up a data base clearinghouse for the whole nation, including the children. For more information:

Good find.

Will this never end until the government topples under it's own weight?
