TRUMP BOMBS INDIA!!!...

pawnstorm12 Fri, 04/14/2017 - 03:54

In an early Friday morning surprise military move, the United States has dropped several bombs on New Delhi, India killing tens of thousands.

Shortly after the bombings, Trump tweeted that his Generals advised the military action in an effort to stop the spread of Hinduism and calling it "an existential threat to U.S. national security."

Paul Ryan, John McCain, Lyndsey Graham and the republican controlled congress voiced their full support for the attacks and Ryan called for "more of this type of thing until the world behaves itself."

A short press conference with the president is anticipated later in the morning.

Trump was heard muttering "This is another win for America" and it will "show North Korea, Iran, Russia, Iraq, Libya, Afghanistan, Somalia, Pakistan and Yemen that we mean business."

"WE'RE WINNING" the president loudly exclaimed shortly after the Pentagon announced the successful bombing.

The attack comes just 2 days after the United Stated dropped the "Mother of All Bombs" on Afghanistan and a week after sending 59 cruise missiles into Syria.

None of the military actions were approved by Congress, nor was Congress consulted in any manner prior to the attacks, nor was there any interest in the constitutionality of the actions.

World reaction has been swift and horrified by the move.

But Israel immediately praised the attacks on India and called for "Iran next" in the Jerusalem Times.

...policy completely out of touch with Constitutional values and principles.

And also to show the complicity of a congress which doesn't care either.

And of course to point out a U.S. foreign policy controlled by AIPAC and Israel.

Our congress is bought by Zionist Jews who have a plan for world dominance far beyond the banking dominance they have already achieved.

Trump said that Richard Haass (President of the Council on Foreign Relations) would be good for Foreign Policy advice.... this is WHY I did NOT vote for him. Yup .. Here it is.

...an Israel-Firster like not seen before.

Trump is letting AIPAC dictate our foreign policy and the dirty war-mongering Jew-World-Order-Banking & Military-Complex is having a HEYDAY with our military.

ANE---Trump cars NOT ONE IOTA about consulting our congress before releasing the dogs of war.

Our founders are spinning in their graves.

By the way I voted for Gary Johnson.

But the TV-Star, Mega-Celebrity was too hypnotizing for the idiot-Sheeple American voter to resist.

but I could not in good conscience vote for any of the three. Had McAfee or Petersen received the nod from the Libertarian party, I not only would have voted LP, but would have also switched parties. I mostly agree with your rant on Trump's warmongering, but he's the one stirring the pot, not someone else,( unless it's his son-in-law) frankly. (Like Netanyahu or not, he has more common sense about this sort of issue than Trump, IMHO) I also agree that some of the more libertarian members of the House and Senate (on both sides of the aisle) should consider whether Trump's actions constitute an impeachable offense. Frankly, I say so, but then, several prior presidents, from President Johnson to 'President' Obama should have been impeached and denied their pension for the rest of their lives if we are to hold them all to the same standard..

It's hard for me to say which is more of an impeachable crime: to use the IRS as a tool to punish those who have committed no other crime than to 'not be of your political persuasion' or the wars started without Congress. If I am not mistaken, BHO also did something similar in Libya, (http://foreignpolicy.com/2013/05/09/actually-u-s-presidents-have-been-go...) so he should have been impeached or declared ineligible on *both* counts! But neither of the two major parties wants to give up the welfare/warfare state, so as long as the Libertarian party chooses to nominate a 'LINO' like Gary Johnson (Libertarian in name only , often left statists:

we are stuck with it. What we need is a Libertarian party that will nominate a true libertarian like Harry Browne, but his type seems a small minority compared to the 'left statists' who have taken the party over.

"left statists". It has been taken over (actually WAS taken over in 2004), by people of both left and right orientation, who have no sense of principle at all. Would you consider Bob Barr to be a "left statist"? No, he was clearly a "right statist". The LP nominated him for the same reason they nominated Gary Johnson, because he held prior political office and the LP officials sold their souls to try to get more votes. The irony is that, at least in 2016, McAfee would have likely gotten many more votes than Johnson, because there was a clear cut difference between McAfee and the two major party nominees. Note: I did not vote for Barr in 2008, but did vote for Johnson in 2016. I felt that Johnson was far more libertarian than Barr, at least on foreign policy. Perhaps that is not your most important issue, but, it is mine. I realize that Johnson's support for a federally mandated gay marriage policy (which is non-libertarian for both 10th Amendment reasons, plus the actual libertarian position is separation of marriage and state), weighed very heavily in your decision.

What to do now? I don't know if you have been following the court cases regarding the bipartisan Commission on Presidential Debates. It's looking like 2016 will be the last year that the Presidential general election debates will be able to exclude qualified candidates, which would certainly include the LP and Green Party nominees. So, it is at least conceivable, that an LP candidate could at least cause explosive growth in the LP in 2020, and possibly even win (remember that Jesse Ventura was polling at 5% [Johnson in 2016 at 10%] in the Minnesota gubernatorial race when he was allowed into the debates, and he won!). It is imperative that you, me, and every other true libertarian join the LP and go to the 2020 nominating convention so as to select a principled nominee (I really hope McAfee runs again. I even liked him better than Peterson). I was a dues paying, pledge signing LP member for 31 years, before the Barr sellout. Trust me, it looks like the party rank and file are far more principled than in 2008 when Barr was nominated. It will just take a little tipping in that direction by concerned libertarians. Assuming I am still alive, I might even be able to meet you in person at the convention (you are one of my favorites on Ron Paul oriented forums).

Switching parties, simply because I identify more with the Libertarian Party platform than I do with any other platform. This includes the Constitution party's, but I have been disappointed to say the least, with Bob Barr (neo-con, right statist) and Gary Johnson (left-statist) as nominees. Aren't there any Governors who are closer to the Libertarian view as expressed in the platform? (I know there are Senators and House members, but the LP seems to prefer governors or former governors.) Honestly, I could have switched parties had the LP either nominated McAfee or Petersen, but when Gary Johnson received the nomination I said to myself "No thanks, we have had a left statist for 8 years who hates the 'freedom of religion clause' of the First Amendment, and holds disdain for the freedom of association clause as well ." As you also pointed out, this like abortion, should be a Tenth Amendment issue as well. Johnson's stand on free association was a left-statist stand, one that, especially after the Obama debacle, was not going to win any disgruntled Libertarian Christians.

I'm all for treating folks as you would want to be treated, but that means that your right to act ends where my rights to not act begin. He even went so far as to infer that a Jewish bakery should be forced to make a Nazi party cake,( practically stating directly that he couldn't care less about the rights of a Christian baker to refuse service to a gay wedding party, they should be forced, by government mandate to serve them in spite of their conscience in the matter).. It would be one thing if they refused all services to gay persons, (such as refusing to serve for *any* event.) Weddings are a completely different issue, not only because the right to freedom of association is involved, but because the Founders intentionally forbade the federal government from being involved in *'prohibiting the free exercise thereof' when it comes to matters of a person's faith. It was presumed that a person's faith could influence his choices as long as others had the same freedoms.

Now that the fight for the White House is over, we may consider switching parties. My husband is likely to be a hard sell, simply because Ron and Rand Paul remained Republicans. We tend to be rather loyal to parties, and congregations , so we only break with a group after long (and sometimes agonizing) discourse, or distance becoming too great a barrier. We have friends that we have had for decades. Gary Johnson had the advantage of being a governor, but frankly ,either Mark Sanford or Matt Bevin of Kentucky hold more libertarian principles than Gary Johnson did.

In 2008, I was so disgusted by the Barr sellout, and so inspired by the Ron Paul candidacy, that after 31 years of continuous membership in the LP I simply quit supporting them. People actually do not realize how close Ron came in 2012 to winning it all. Had it not been for the controversy over the newsletters published under his name, he was set to outright win the Iowa caucuses. His path to the nomination would have been unstoppable. I really believe that, had he won the nomination, he would have been elected. Obama was a smooth talker, but Ron's truthfulness would have inspired a nation.

Unlike with Ron, I don't believe I could have voted for Rand. His tepid, lackluster, partial defense of liberty and peace simply did not inspire me. I donated to his campaign for the nomination in 2016, thinking that if he were nominated, at least people would be discussing libertarian ideas and could research the issues for themselves. Everyone who said that he was just "playing chess" and could somehow lie people into supporting him, were, as usual, dead wrong. He actually didn't come anywhere near as close as his father to being nominated.

So let's try it. If we are defeated, and 2020 is another LP sellout year, we can always assess other alternatives at that time. I suggest you get everyone you know who is a principled libertarian to become a dues paying member, and to go to the nominating convention as a delegate in 2020.
