Why WOULDN’T Trump Also Build a Wall Along the Canadian Border?

This just might constitute torture for some of you.

I am asking you to think.

Just like anything else the government does, Donald Trump’s proposed wall along the Mexican border is rife with unintended consequences. The very same wall that would prevent people from entering illegally, could just as easily be used to keep the American people from leaving. And if he would build such a wall along the Mexican border, why wouldn’t he also build a wall along the Canadian border?

just an observation and off the top of my head answer...be kind, I didn't put hours of thought into this...kind of a knee jerk response, but here goes...
The proposed wall isn't just about Mexico, it is to restrict unfettered access by a total of 20 nations to the south. All data proves it isn't just Mexicans coming into the country though our open southern border, not only people from all over South America, but overseas, as well.
The climate can be rigorous, for sure, but it is possible, especially for travelers already acclimated to a hot climate to survive the journey and land in the U.S. It is also, logistically beneficial that they can fairly easily make the journey 12 months out of the year.
Contrast that to the Canadian border.
1) we simply do not see the abuse from that direction in equal proportion
2) our northern neighbors do a very good job at securing the common border and work well with our own security agencies
3)there's at least 3 months, maybe more, out of an average year that the weather itself can be prohibitive to clandestine travel.
4) there is only 1 country to our north...not 20, and the obvious is they have a fairly good system in place that doesn't lead their citizens to find it more desirable to come here in the first place.
5) the Northwest and Central US/Canada border is rugged and it would require knowledge of the environment to survive, and even if 100,000 people educated and prepared themselves for that and made it into the country, the simple demographics of the northern US population would make it difficult to assimilate into our society unnoticed.
The Northeast area of our common border is heavily patrolled on both sides and the St. Lawrence river and Great Lakes adds to the challenge.
again, this is only about 10 minutes of thought applied, there may very well be more reasons that I have not considered.

To paraphrase Ron Paul,
'To build a wall along the Mexican border is preposterous... can you imagine, it would require also the building of a wall across Canada... then imagine the thousands of gunships it would require to blow the boats of illegals out of the waters of the Atlantic and Pacific coastlines... It is an absurd idea! Of course it is an authoritarian talking...', etc.

Get real Trump! He's a blowhard for the aimlessly confused and angered. Ending the Federal Reserve money laundering and counterfeiting scheme is a far better place to start than wasting billions on a wall that benefits neither side of the divide it makes.
