Good morning!

(Edited because it was pointed out that Criticism is only politically correct if it comes from certain selective sources of hypocritical belligerence )

Good morning everyone and I am very honored to be allowed to join here. When I read the news about the PL shutting down and decided to follow this project I instantly felt good vibes about it. I have been wandering around the net in different forums promoting liberty like an orphan going door to door looking for a comfortable place to land. A fair and open place with members who truly care and respect one another without animosity like the original DP once was. I see other projects being started over there but I just do not feel the same good vibes as I do with this project here.

This site already feels calm in atmosphere, fair, just and comfortable. I hope that I can help draw some of the others who left the DP quite awhile back into coming and checking it out. Seriously... the graphics and features have a comfortable and relaxed feel about them. Thank you so much for the work and effort to put this together and I am hoping everyone can once again accept my hand in friendship!

I think he's in his 40's. But regardless of age, I think it has to do with chemical influence in the same way that someone would say, "he's such a nice guy, but a really angry & mean drunk". Mike's got issues, and it seems some of those run VERY DEEP with Rand and the Paul's. If it were weed, he'd be mellowed out and that's obviously not the case.

He is very Anti-Rand which is why he condoned and even encouraged the trump trolls - something he would NEVER have put up with at the DP because he knew full well what the end result would be.

"Hey, could you tell me, is there any way on this site to see my posts, comments, and replies?"

I'm still trying to figure that one out myself. I'll ask Anne in the suggestion box and let you know what she says.

I STILL STAND WITH RAND!

I never was a member of that special community of constitutionalist, but when i fired up my laptop, the DP/PL was my 1st site to check for great stories to read. Ron Paul woke me up to the shredding of our Constitution. I don't fly...I don't drive.. I don't pay taxes...and I never voted until RP, even though he wasn't nominated I gave my vote to GJ...thanks for your fight that I will join with you to save freedom!

Thank you to all who support Liberty! It is nice to have a place like this where like-minded people gather to discuss things that are hard to talk about with the average person.
It's great to know people like you exist, because otherwise I'd feel so alone in my thoughts.
Thanks again!

I really do hope that same essence can be captured here.  It is about fair treatment and mutual respect.  It's imperative that we have the freedom to say what we think about any given subject as long as we don't go after each other on a personal level just because we don't agree.  I know liberty people above all others understand how  to do this.

I don't know Michael well enough to say what got him to where he's at.  I do know he's been done with all this for a good long time.  I was also one of those who found myself in a minority supporting Rand so I keenly felt the segregation.

It's not that I want this to be an all Rand site per say.  Actually, the way I look at it is if a candidate like Trump or Carson says something in line with liberty then we should pat them on the back for that.

But this is first and foremost a site about  promoting liberty ideas and freedom while exposing the erosion of our individual rights and the growing encroachments of government.  If a candidate isn't inline wit that, they shouldn't get much exposure on this site.  That being said, I wouldn't want to segregate anyone or make anyone nervous about posting something.  I think most people will "vote with their feet" and the successful articles will be the ones people want to read.

I think it's important if we want to grow this liberty movement beyond ourselves, then we do need to keep an upbeat, fun and cordial community  full of amazing discussions and respectful discourse.  People hang out where they feel they belong, can contribute, and are appreciated.  You know how many people are hungry for that?  I can't count that high

Honored that you chimed in with such great words and direction. You make a very wise statement here about not "throwing the baby out with the bathwater". This was one of the main feelings that got me in trouble with the purists over at the DP all the time. In the end there is only right or wrong no matter the source. It is foolish to throw out and disregard a positive action that is advantageous towards the intended goal just because of the source.

Thank you so much for sharing with us how you stand on these things nice Lady of Liberty and gracious host!. :)

I was doing a google search on thr Republicans candidates, I seen  a Ron Pauls video and doing further search on Ron Paul it led me to the DP. I signed up to make a comment, and then I was hooked

I've been going to the DP/PL for well over 8 years.  I rarely create new posts but occasionally add comments, especially on technical issues, strategy, etc.  I loved the wide range of alternate news I could find.   I volunteered in '07 and '12 and look forward to supporting Rand this time when things start up on the west coast.
