THIS IS WHY ALL LEVELS OF GOVERNMENT IS SO SCREWED UP

Our lowest/local levels are completely corrupted. We cannot have unelected city managers getting together in practically secret meetings that no one knows about to discuss regional policy.

Oh LAWDY....

Towns are not towns. They are corporations. The mayor is not the mayor. The mayor is the CEO. The city council is not the city council. The city council is the board of directors. Simply look at your city/towns charter to confirm this.

Just go to a city council meeting sometime and it becomes evident within minutes. Most people don't care to attend these gatherings, and honestly how can you blame them. They have lives. However, there are times when it is necessary to storm these meetings and show them who actually is in charge and put them on the record that their reign can quickly come to an end. We tried to pass a drone ordinance in my town and they were truly overwhelmed by the support. Unfortunately the city manager made the final decision on the matter and reduced our law binding ordinance to a promise and access which means nothing.

Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
