They have a limited use lifetime also. We were lucky when it came to batteries. :) I have always been in the big Truck industry and every winter the three batteries in a Truck would start to loose the ability to hold a charge and would need to be replaced. This was only because it takes so many Amps to start a truck, if they were slightly less than tip top they just couldn't do it. I would take these "Newer" Batteries home and switch them out with older ones from my Solar System and turn these in for cores to the Battery Vendor. For my Solar System these newer take outs were just like brand new! It really worked out well for us!

Hook up with somebody who works at a truckstop and you will have it made. :)

Are you able to listen to soundcloud audio files with your connection? Can your email accept mp3's for you to download? And if you record something, can you send a file via email or upload somewhere that doesn't eat up the quality?

I have a lot of questions, I'm learning friend

because I probably don't understand it. To me, MIDI was those old nasty sounding phone dial sounds on webtv 20+ years ago, lol.

Have things changed?

Actually, you would be right if you were on your way to a Studio. MIDI is still used as a protocol in modern digital studios for physical input to mixing software. :)

MIDI (/ ˈ m ɪ d i /; short for Musical Instrument Digital Interface) is a technical standard that describes a protocol, digital interface and connectors used in digital software recording and mixing.

Those Dialup tones you were talking about? I still hear that every time I log onto the net. It always makes me flashback to the 80's and Green Screen monitors. lol

I ran across a Browser to Browser program a while back that turns your computer into an old retro Green Screen chat program like the old Bulletin Boards used to display. Now there would be a fun Blast from the Past! lol

I would like to participate in this but my current rural slow connection will not allow me to watch the videos here. Could you please include a brief summary? Bugging out and living off grid are my favorite topics to discuss. My wife and I have been living off grid and off grid capable for almost 15 years now and we have a lot of experiences to share. :)

My only current option aside from Dialup is Satellite. They want $65 a month for basic service and after about one weeks use it too is throttled down to Dialup speed. Cell Phone service here is at 2G and no faster than the Dialup either.  Unfortunately it is what it is, I am truly in the middle of nowhere! . lol
