Virginia State Proposes Bill that Would Allow Termination Until Moment of Birth - Red Elephants Video

You never hear anyone ask about personal responsibility.  You’re an adult, you can have all the sex you want but don't get pregnant. If you do, well, life is unfair, and you must live with the consequences and make the best of it. But that is asking too much. I have a longtime friend who accidently got pregnant at 23. She married and tried to make the relationship work. She ended up having another child; however, she finally divorced. I can say that those two kids have grown up to be two of the most wonderful young adults I know. Thank God her and her partner did not decide to have an abortion.

I'm almost in favor of Universal Birth Control. Everyone is on mandatory birth control and after you can prove you are responsible enough to raise and support a child are your given the privilege to get pregnant.  Wouldn't this prevent "too much mental stress" for the mother and prevent a child being born into an unloving home where the parents are resentful that an unwanted child ruined their young adult lives?

However, now your God given right to have a family is now subject to the "State". What if you don't want to vaccinate? What if you don't want to feed your child GMO foods. What if you want to homeschool? What if you don't want to do the things the State requires of you? Will they take your child away from you.

Bottom line issue here is, you can't legislate morality. A lack of morality is killing this country literally.

I do, however, have an issue with the idea 'morality cannot be legislated'.  Morality does come into play when life, liberty or property rights are threatened, therefore some morality is required to be legislatable. (I might, especially if I lived in New York, say the minority has the right idea !)

I would actually go further than Perry Willis does in the comments, and say you don't have to have 99.999% of the population agree on morality, if the 99.999% have no concept of inalienable rights.
